Victoria longs to be free to run and roam in the Great Outdoors ever since her two visits to the lawn in the kitty carrier. |
All that to say... it has been stressful lately. First the house gets struck by lightening, then it almost catches fire and almost blows up (thank God it was almost), my laptop is acting strange, and my cat is naughty. Then, during my eye exam today, the doctor found what she has been dreading... the beginning signs of problems in the retina due to the Juvenile Diabetes. She wants me to see a specialist although it does not have to be immediately. Sigh... all prayers welcome.
Doesn't it seem to happen that way, though? Just a season of "one thing after another"? I suppose it could be that one crisis makes us more sensitive to any others which come along in a short period of time. In the meantime, I need a good book and some chocolate... not necessarily in that order.

Oh dear! They say trouble seems to come in threes but you seem to have some whopping troubles of late. One should have sufficed! Praying that your eye problems will be minor.
Praying for you Brenda...just remember God is in control and HE protected you from be electrocuted, having the house catch on fire and from having the house blow up. I know it seems overwhelming right now but as someone on the outside looking in I can so clearly see God's love and protection over you and your family.
Much love,
Debbie
Dear Brenda, take good care of yourself and eat something delicious and find a fun book to read. That sounds like a lot o' stress recently.
Exactly, Brenda. We get so "sunburned" by things going on that the next thing really aggravates the situation. Good thing you know that there's a balm in Gilead. Gentle hugs...
Surely we can find some solutions to help at least, naturally, with eye troubles due to diabetes can't we?? I hope so...ours have not been identified yet as such, but both hubby and I feel we do not see as well as we did, since getting diabetes. We go regularly to be checked, of course. I need to research more on this!!
Will pray your eyes improve!! Never hurts to ask!!

I am praying for you--you have been such a blessing and encouragement to all of us!
Your last sentence made me smile. I couldn't help but think that if you were my physical neighbor, I would visit you with something yummy, bring some tea and chocolate and a nice, airy, light read like Amberwell by DE Stevenson, or Miss Read's Village Affairs.
I am praying that you get a refreshing tea time with chocolate soon, and a light, refreshing book soon!
Yours prayerfully,
Michelle
I'm so sorry that you're having to walk through such a deep valley at this time. Just remember that in throughout the Psalms, there is the promise of the Lord that you won't walk alone. Will pray for your eyesight, specifically.
I like your blog! :)
You do need some chocolate and a good book!
Praying still...

Dear Brenda, I am praying for you and your vision! My sister in law in Hungary is in the beginning of macular degeneration, which is something entirely different except that it affects your eyesight. Besides seeing her doctor, there is something else she is doing, an alternative medicine something. I will try to find out what this is. I send you hugs from Ohio!
I can see why you would be overwhelmed. Especially the eye situations. I am praying for you as you sort this out.
Fondly,
Glenda
I'm a fairly new follower to your blog. I have been enjoying it very much :) I am blessed by what I have read.
My thoughts and prayers are with you each day. I know Our Lord has you in His Loving Arms and will give you the desires and needs of your heart.
Linda
