If you have wondered what I have been up to lately, it would require lots of snoozing. These powerful antibiotics are helping but they do make me so sleepy. Of course, after weeks of sleepless nights... that can be as healing as any medicine.
Stephanie and I were talking about the cost of the antibiotics, which ended up being close to $18.00 for each pill. She agreed if she was going to spend that much to ingest anything... it should be at a steakhouse. Yes, at least three courses. :)
Anyhoo, I thought I'd share a few favorite writings of friends from the past few days as I spend time sleeping and cooking and sleeping and laundry and sleeping... and healing.

An update from Jewels' daughter... here.
Happy reading and please pray for the farmers where I live. Thousands of acres of crops have been destroyed from the tornadoes, high winds, hail, and flooding of the past week. I have not checked the mud pit that is my garden today, going to give it one more day to dry. (((HUGS)))

Oh I'm so sorry to read about the troublesome weather that is affecting the farmers. I always say a prayer for the farmers because weather is so capricious.
Eighteen dollars a pill? Good heavens! Yes, a steak would be preferable, if it could also be as healing.
You are so right to know that sleep is healing. It really is so rest easy, Brenda.
Just had breakfast with a friend today who is helping me with some ministry stuff here and she said, "I just love Brenda Nuland. She is one person who I would really love to meet." Of course I was happy to be able to brag and said that I had met her--and for a few minutes I had status. Praying for you and me to not be tired and to refuel. Love to you and yours.
You go ahead and snooze, dear friend, and at $18 each, I am glad the pills are working. Now I will check out some of the links you give here.
Hi Brenda,
I know what you mean about the cost of pills. Dave takes one that is 138.00 a pill and one treatment every 6 weeks that is about 9,000. Health Care has gone through the roof. I am so happy you are feeling better. Thanks for the links.
Hugs,
Elizabeth

Oh, Brenda, I know how you feel. I don't have bronchitis, but I am battling a summer cold that doesn't want to go away, and it makes me tired, too.
I'm also sorry to hear of the weather troubles you are having. I truly will be praying for your farmers and your garden.
I recently harvested sugar peas and some string beans from my garden. It's so much fun to be able to eat something you've grown yourself.
I will say a prayer for your farmers. My husband is a farmer and I know only too well that farmers plant and pray and are not always rewarded for their hard, hard work. Hope you are 100% soon.
