The Last Arrow, a review

In this book, Erwin McManus, founder of MOSAIC Church in Los Angeles, offers motivation and encouragement on living the life for which God intended.  Through telling his own story and the stories of others, he provides many instances where people did not give up but instead finished the course even when it was difficult.

I found the stories interesting and was encouraged to never give up on God's will for my life.  The readers who would most benefit from the message would be young men and women who are now making decisions that will affect all of their years ahead.

The subtitle of "Save Nothing For the Next Life" will always stick with me and is good advice for Christians of any age.  This is not the time to sit in our easy chairs and watch while others run the race for Christ.

The chapters in the book include:
  • The Point of No Return
  • Save Nothing for the Next Life
  • Choose the Future
  • Set Your Past on Fire
  • Refuse to Stay Behind
  • Act Like Your Life Depends on It
  • Stand Your Ground
  • Find Your People
  • Know What You Want
  • Battle Ready

The Last Arrow was provided by Blogging for Books for the sake of review but the opinions are my own.

This book sounds excellent and like it could inspire me to more action. It would go well with the Ephesians Bible study we are doing for 8 weeks at my church in Women's Bible Study; Paul wrote Ephesians from prison.
