Not a lot going on here this week, I stayed in the AC when getting outside was not necessary!
Just a note... I'm not commenting nearly as much as I once did on other blogs as computer time is limited. But I'm reading them!
Watching
This is the new prequel to Inspector Morse which came before Inspector Lewis (BBC on PBS). So far I like it! |
Re-reading
One of my favorite Elisabeth Elliot books. |
Backyard blooming
With all the rain earlier in the spring, the hosta blooms are not a gorgeous as usual but still a pretty color. |
Different view
A different view of the (vase) pitcher. It came from a thrift store over the winter. |
Frugal and quick "decorating"
I love changing out the blackboard art when it is free. |
Her Fluffiness
She loves supervising when I am in the kitchen. Don't worry, I clean the "kitchen island" regularly and I don't cook on it. :) |

It's a wonderful world! I'm very grateful and counting my blessings for the better weather in my neck of the woods this week, and at Lake Chautauqua in western NY where I'll be by lunch tomorrow. Keep cool, Brenda!
Love the buffet--so bright and cheerful (and "symmetrical--know you love that). Good days to stay inside as much as possible.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BRENDA!
Blessings, Sharon D.
Yes, well I see who is the queen of the kitchen! =D
I have hostas that are just like yours and they are a bit bedraggled too.
It's a wee bit cooler today - though still humid!
I need to go mow...
Deanna
We're watching Endeavor, too - when it's on PBS. I think we've seen 2 episodes. We like it, too!
Re: the Elizabeth Elliot book, I recently read this quote and was instructed by it: “Master those books you have…Let them go into your very self. Little learning and much pride comes from hasty reading.” —Charles Spurgeon (Elizabeth's book is one I have...)
Hi Brenda;
Your hostas are beautiful, along with all the other flowers. Love the blackboard and Miss Royal Highness!!
Have a great day Love and Hugs, Nana
What a darling supervisor :)
Your hosta look just gorgeous! Mine are getting brown tips on their leaves and look a bit scraggly.
Free printable art is great isn't it!
