"Chalkboard" art makes me smile

At least one of these pictures was going to become a part of "My World this Week" but I decided I couldn't wait to show you my new "decoration".

Doesn't this look like a real chalkboard?

Manuela first showed what she did with the printout... here.   I thought how she framed it in a colored frame was beautiful.

The website where we printed the Christmas "blackboard" art is located... here,  although there is also a link available when you visit Manuela's blog.

I love combining "rustic" with "fancy" so when the only unused 8 x 10 item I could find was a mirror with a gilded frame, I thought it a perfect combination!

Would you believe, all I had to do was print out the blackboard art, trim it down just a tad, and tape it to the mirror with double stick tape?  Just the easiest Christmas DYI project!

This is what it looks like from a distance.

Sorry for the quality of the photos but it has been dark, dreary, and damp here for days... making the need for a flash necessary.   :)

Lovely, just lovely.

To be reminded that He is our Comfort and our Joy - I'm taking that into today.

That is the very one I love so well. (I've been nervous about using up all my black ink, though and so am considering having it sent to have it print up as an 8x10 photo on the cheap.) It looks fantastic there!

Well, I just did it...printed it as a 4x6 and slapped it onto my wee chalkboard. Looks as if I am mighty talented. ☺

Gosh that looks fantastic Brenda! I love it in your elegant frame (it really does look like a chalkboard doesn't it). Isn't great when you can get a great decoration for your home without leaving your house!
