Flu...

The flu has been going around our community and found its' way to me on Wednesday!

I had returned home from an appointment with the retinal specialist (he is monitoring the damage caused by diabetes to my eyes) and wasn't feeling great but not sick.  Then within a couple of hours I suddenly felt like the proverbial truck had hit and the room was spinning around!

Thanksgiving was spent on the sofa with canned chicken noodle soup and crackers and way too much TV (don't get me started on the way Black Friday is taking over the Thanksgiving holiday~).

I'm feeling just a little better today so we'll have a very simple turkey dinner in late afternoon.  Hopefully all will be better soon.

Back to the sofa.  :)

I hope you feel better soon!! Do you get a yearly flu shot?

Don't get me started on Black Friday. My poor husband had to be at the store at midnight last night because this was the first time they opened that early and then he has to work all day today.

Be nice to all the retail workers today everyone! It's a very difficult & tiring time for them.

Hope you feel better really soon!

Hope you get better quickly. Son had to work his first full shift at Macy's from 11:30 PM Thursday to 9:30 AM this morning. He made it home in one piece (THANK U JESUS) but tired. He said it wasn't too bad.

Sorry to hear about your flu and that you are feeling poorly. I hope you are on the mend soon. Chicken soup will help. Good choice. A bowl of broth receives chopped raw garlic along with finely chopped parsley when we are feeling poorly.

I was home with my grandsons this Friday and did more cooking - but I won't get you started. I know you're not up to it.

Oh! Poor thing! You have been catching every bug that has come around this year!! I hope you have a comfy couch as you have had to nest on it so much this year. We are praying for a speedy full recovery. Sarah

Oh, so sorry to hear this!

May your soup be warm and healing,
may your couch be soft & relaxing.
May your illness be short, your furry friend snuggly, and your stack of DVDs to watch never taller.
