This is a picture from a few years ago when Christopher was still fencing. I spent many an evening sitting and reading and waiting while he fenced.
He asked me recently what haircut he's ever had I liked best. I told him it was the one he had the last year of fencing, when it was long and tied back. I also reminded him I came of age in the early 1970s when men's hairstyles tended to look like Jesus. Some preferences just stick with you.
Oh... my son is the one on the left.

Brenda, my husband's only athletic letter in college was one for fencing...The mask came in handy once, early in our marriage, when he needed to remove and burn a wasp nest attached to the garage!

Hee hee, most Mom's like the short hair cut - know wonder you're the cool one! :) I like that you said you came of age in the time when men's hair tended to look like Jesus'. I grew up in Southern California...I remember those days, too!
