Whew! It seems I am on a merry-go-round recently but it has been wonderful getting reacquainted with my daughter and the grandchildren. I'll see my son-in-law again for about two hours this weekend when he returns to take them home. My husband and I tease him that it is a good way to keep a great relationship with in laws when you see them a few hours a year.
Normally when they are visiting here, it is because he is at a statistics conference at the University...as a speaker or participant. So, we don't have a lot of time to spend with him. When we were visiting them a couple years ago, he was finishing a chapter for a book that was due. He couldn't get away from work this time. Like I said, a great way to keep him liking his mother-in-law.
I am very tired but there will be time to rest next week. Yesterday we drove into the "big city" to buy some groceries at Trader Joe's. My daughter asked how recently I had been to the "big city". I told her two years ago when I had to go to the airport to fly to New England. After battling traffic yesterday, it may be another two years before I go back.
Here is the book by the author who I quoted in the last post (who was being interviewed on the radio). I looked through his book on Amazon and put it on my wish list. I'm told I have a very uh...unique...wish list. What can I say? I have eclectic tastes in reading materials. :) Anyway, he quotes Schaeffer so he can't be all bad.
I'll be back later in the week.

...our minds have been captured by our culture.
This was part of a quote on Amazon for your Book! I think I would agree. Let us know when you have read this book.
Oh! I have been (slowly) reading another book by this same man: Serious Times. I am really, really liking it!
He just became the newest president of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
