It was love at first...sip?

Imagine a day when heavy rains and winds were pelting the pedestrians. One of us (mainly...me), decided to spend the fifteen minutes I had remaining (waiting for son) at Einstein's bagels. The thought of a pumpkin bagel drew me in. Yes...there were pumpkin bagels left, even though it was about an hour away from closing.

Then...I spotted the Holiday Blend coffee. Normally I find Holiday Blends to be too dark a roast for me but this package said it was medium roast, with a taste of spices added. Hmmm...sounds good. So I decided it was worth a try since it was being offered by the cup as the "flavor of the day".

Sigh...can one get infatuated with a coffee? As I was walking to meet my son, I was sipping the last of the coffee and already making mental plans to return over the weekend. By that time, the rain/ice/snow should be melted. I have to drop my son off at work on Saturday before doing my volunteer work at the library. Hmmm...perhaps I can talk him into a bagel for breakfast when the real reason for my being so...nice...is actually completely self centered. I am already wanting more of that coffee.

I'll put it this way, it was just as good as a pumpkin spice latte at less than half the price and a fraction of the calories.

I love this time of year, all my favorite flavors make their presence between September and January; cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin, peppermint.. and that's just in my coffee. :)

Hello Brenda,

I was wondering how you did on your big shopping trip today. It was so windy here, it almost blew me off my feet. DH and I called it a day and came home to put up the tree and decorate. I hope you were able to get your shopping done and back home safely.

You described today to a 't' her in my hometown - we really must be just a short distance from one another! I love the smell of coffee, but have never cared for the taste! You make me wish I was a coffee drinker! I can almost smell the steaming hot brew! I did have a quiet moment this afternoon and enjoyed a cup of tea with a warm cookie. Mmmmmm...
