My World - November 1st

I haven't written a "My World" post in ages but it is so pretty in my world at the moment.  Our Autumn was not colorful but it is turning out to be pretty, just before the winds could take down all the leaves from the trees.

The above photo is the Autumnal tweaking I did to the sideboard in the dining area.  It was actually sunny but the shadows of the lace add a certain beauty.  I hadn't changed it since early Spring so it was time.  It will be changed after Thanksgiving when it will hold a cake and pies.

Her Fluffiness is enjoying the breeze through the open window (above the photo) blowing her fur back or she would turn around to say hello.  Maybe.

She is shedding everywhere so this morning she had a good brushing, you would have thought it was a spa job.  She definitely enjoyed it and expects more soon.

I thought the top of the desk looked so funny, it is a "moment in time" of my day.  I am in the middle of a few projects, including making egg salad.

I decided to write this blog post before making lunch, thus the hard boiled eggs are in the Study.

The following photos are of the surroundings...

The road by my house.
I'm beginning to be able to see the barn!
One of the few trees that is very colorful this year.
Would you believe the zinnias are still growing in the garden?

I knew the zinnias were still blooming (you can see them from the deck) but my husband was getting the garden rows cleared over the weekend when he brought in a bowl full of cherry tomatoes.  I hadn't checked, figuring after two frosts the tomatoes would stop growing.  It shows you how unusually warm it has been (and rainy).

I hope you liked the brief tour.  Next will probably be around Thanksgiving and then... can you believe it already... Christmas.

My zinnias were killed by a freeze this past week. They were beautiful all summer and mid-autumn long!

Victoria is a princess! We all bow in acknowledgement!

We are finally getting some real beauty here too!

Oh, so Fun to see a "My World" post from you today! Have been enjoying all your posts lately (Saturday's Pantry, and Sunday's Afternoon Tea, too) Your Autumn trees are beautiful! The trees, here in the PNW, were supposed to be more colorful this year, due to colder temps at the start of the season, but then then we got a couple of windstorms that blew most of the leaves off the trees too soon! Now it's the rainy season for us. 🙁 Oh well!
Thank-you for sharing! It's so nice to read encouraging words when there is so much negativity in the news!
Blessings on your day!

I enjoyed the "tour" - finding similar autumn scenes around here.
Last night, my 90 year old father joined hubby and me as we picked up a "ton" of walnuts. What a mess!

I'll say they are blooming and very beautifully, too. I like your autumnal touches and enjoy seeing how you cozy your home for autumn.

I thought about you when I read this post on prepping from a biblical perspective: http://www.reformation21.org/blog/2016/11/prepping-in-biblical-perspecti.php

After following your blog for several years, I now count on your view of the barn to tell me when fall has truly arrived! :-) It makes me smile.
