My World in Photos

Clearance flowers in Goodwill flower pot.  Beauty.

With no book reviews this week, there is an opportunity to share some recent photos of the world around me. They do include a certain Maine Coon and a cute as a button granddaughter.  ;)

From Instagram, taken this morning.  The first time I ever caught her mid-yawn on camera.
The new parents!
When the Grandkitty wants equal time...
The reason for the lawn project #1
The reason for the lawn project #2
What happens when the forest takes over the corner herb bed!
The garden project in process... rebuilt raised beds & fixed up rows between them.
Printed off, pasted on, and propped up on the front porch.
Did you ever get the feeling you were being watched?

These are just a few photos but they are my world at the moment.  I am pleased to say the side of the house is almost clear of the forest and has new sod in its' place.  Only the area closest to the deck needs immediate attention.  Eventually so will the area around the deck and behind the house but they won't require laying sod.  Something much less expensive!

Also, the herb bed that had been taken over by the forest is now all cleared except for the lovage and lemon thyme which belong there.  I'm transplanting another herb in that raised bed this week and hope to add at least one more now that it has been cleared.  Such is gardening in a fallen world.  Sigh.

The garden project is complete except for adding the rest of the pea gravel.  That project was interrupted when the sod arrived.

All good things! Tim and I are discussing having less property to take care of. Your photos are exactly why we are thinking about these things.

Baby girl is precious! So glad she lives close by. Sounds like you both have been really working on your projects--don't get too hot out there. "Clearance flowers" are beautiful--a bright spot of color. Blessings, Sharon D.

Love seeing your photos! Especially, of course, of your newest little bundle of joy! What an adorable, little doll-baby! I love her name, too! You are making big progress in your yard and garden! Please share more of the herb garden when you add to it. Would love to hear what herbs you'll be adding! We are slowly getting our front beds pruned and weeded. It gets more difficult to maintain each year! We aren't getting any younger and lately have begun to wonder how much longer we will be able to continue to maintain what we have. But for now, we keep at it, a little at a time!
Hugs and Blessings,
Laura C. (WA)

What a darling little granddaughter! Her parents must be so thrilled, to say nothing of all the grandparents! So glad your herb garden is under control now. Just wish I could say the same!
