Poultry in the kitchen...

No, this is not about sharing chicken recipes.   Last week I was taking photos for My World this Week when I noticed a... shall we say... pattern emerge in my kitchen?

My parents raised chickens when I was little, which may account for the poultry-love.  But I was terrified of the mean rooster that used to chase me around the yard.  So go figure that I'd find roosters beautiful today.

Some items were purchased when thrifting but many were gifts.  My loved ones know me well.  ;)

I, too, love chickens--have them in the kitchen, even a few on a bookshelf in the bedroom. Have bought some and folks have given me some. Enjoy your writings about everyday things. Hope you are getting leveled out with your blood sugars. Praying for you. Blessings, Sharon D.

That is some adorable poultry in your kitchen! I love having chickens but haven't liked the rooster we had. If we have another rooster I hope he will be of the nicer sort!

I have a chicken statue (?) that I move around. Usually it is in the kitchen area but right now it's in the hallway.

I Love all your chickens and roosters! Especially that very plump one sitting in a bowl? But, hey, how'd those bunnies get in there? Interlopers! Seriously, though, I like the fact that you make your kitchen a place of joy, when often a home kitchen is a place of plain ole work!

You've been holding out on us. I had no idea that you had so many chickens! Is that anything you'd be interested in doing? Raising chickens that is? (Maybe you can talk Christopher into it.) Eggs for you and fertilizer for your garden.

Lovely chickens, but what I enjoyed best of all was seeing the Rhonda Hetzel stitchery.
