My World this Week

The road by my house

I adore this time of year with crunchy leaves, throws on the sofa, and sipping hot tea gifted from a dear blog daughter who brought it back from Scotland.

Yesterday's supper was chili, easy to prepare for one almost recovered from eye surgery.  Chicken is defrosting in the frig to be transformed into our favorite lemon chicken soup later in the week.

The counties just north of us experienced snow last night while a cold rain fell outside our window as I drifted off to sleep.  I love sleeping in rain... or rather, inside when it is raining outside.  :)

Now to show you my life this last week as seen through the lens of a camera.

I have been reading your blog for a very short time. I started reading it when you wrote about your scrapbook journal on org junkie. I would like to know what kind of camera you use for your pictures. They are wonderful. My camera broke recently and I would like to obtain a new one.

Love the new "header". Your house and yard are so pretty with the fall leaves dressing it up. Enjoy seeing your "tweaks"--so glad you are feeling up to doing the extra things that make home cozy and beautiful. (We love chili at our house also--husband's favorite food).
Blessings, Sharon D.

Love today's post. As a former Michiganian I love seeing autumn come to the North. Her fluffiness reminds me so much of my Molly Grace, they could be sisters. Glad you are on the mend and posting again. Have a wonderful day! Donna

Brenda,
Your new header is amazingly beautiful and so are the photos you shared today. I am always in awe of how very much beauty is absolutely free! I bought clearance flowers at Lowe's today that will bloom through the winter down here in S.C. and just planted them outside the kitchen/den windows. All winter long, the pansys and snap dragons will bloom. But I also loved the white snow and red cardinals when we lived up in Minnesota.
Have a blessed day enjoying the Creator's beautiful bounty.

I love this time of year also. I am making homemade pot pie tonight. I am so excited about Fall cooking as well as all the other wonderful things of Fall.

Such a pretty scene in your header! Your home looks so beautiful nestled into the autumn trees. What a nice stack of books. I'd love to have some of those in my stack. Thanks to you, I do have one of them in mine and I do love that book. Glad that you are recuperating well.

Gorgeous! What template do you use? I love the size of your header!

I love seeing your home - it is lovely inside and out! Your stitchery looks great in the red frame.

Victoria is a real princess.

Hi Brenda;
Once again, a beautiful post! I love your home, it is so comfy and cozy. Tonight we are having pork short ribs cooked in gravy and mashed potatoes. Don't you love the smell of good food cooking when it is cold and windy out. As usual, Miss Victoria is looking good, very comfortable! Glad you are on the mend! Love and Hugs, Nana

Glad you are recovering well. The photos are gorgeous! Color here has been stupendous too. We are headed back to NC soon, after 6 months here.

Hope you are continuing to make progress! The first frost took me a little by surprise. I think I still hadn't gotten my mind back around everything here. I lost so much basil, if only I had picked it to make pesto. And I could have picked a huge bouquet of zinnias. Oh well. This is life right now! Today is our last day of homeschool group for the fall and Michael is away for the weekend. The chores are mounting high but I think I better take some forced rest somewhere!! have a good weekend!
