Well-ness slowly returns...

Lovely December magazines to read
There is a reason this bug has been making the news!  Everyone I know who has had it thought at first it was a simple cold and then WHAM!!!... it was hard just to get out of bed at all for a few days.

It seems forever since I was writing in any regular fashion.  The bug hit just as my Christmas break was finishing.  I thought about things to write.  I really did.  But that is as far as I was able to get and the computer stayed off most of the time.

So I continue to be way behind in blog reading, correspondence, and really anything that takes more energy than watching Downton Abbey Sunday night (fabulous!).  Hopefully my ponder has improved.

I was up and around a little yesterday, mostly propped up on my living room floor sorting through old cooking magazines to give to the library.  One is determined to work on goals even if it must be done on the carpeting!  But I digress...

I thought I could handle meeting my friend, Linda, at her house this morning as we had planned from last week. We had a lovely time chatting and playing with her dog (who is spoiled like Victoria and just as cute) but I had to head for home much earlier than planned.  I felt a bit like one who had been blindsided by a huge cement truck and no... I am not exaggerating.. much.

Now that I have had a post to whine and complain, tomorrow should be better.  Maybe... hopefully.  We'll see how the evening goes.

I've read about this going round. Glad you are feeling better. Sounds like it was horrid.

It sounds awful. I think you have served your time so hope that you will be feeling much better from now on. I do admire your ability to get down on the floor to organize.

Hey dear lady, I think you need more rest and down time, don't overdo and have a relapse. Time for tea and reading on the sofa till your strength builds up.

Take the time to get well. It will be best in the end. But I know how hard that is.

Happy to hear you're feeling better! Hope your recuperation is swift and complete!

Brenda, happy to hear that you are beginning to feel better. It takes such a while to fully recover, doesn't it? A couple of years ago, our family got hit with the flu. After we thought we were well, the girls and I went out to Target, and we weren't there for 10 minutes before we all agreed to come back home!

So take your time...baby steps... :)

Glad you are feeling well enough to do a bit here and there. There is no hurry - it's several months until Spring - just save enough energy to post!

Have a great day!

Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better but take it easy. From what I see on the news this is a nasty flu that's going around.

Dear Brenda,
Please get well. I pray you will fully recover soon. We are taking our Vit D here everyday and are thankful for Vit C rich fruit from the southern hemisphere - like kiwis - where right now it is sunny.
Early American Life is a favorite magazine of mine. I read the issue you picture.

I am sorry you still are feeling poorly- I am finally not coughing and you know I was sick at Thanksgiving. Today I felt like that cement truck ran over me - this weather. That magazine looks interesting. Maybe one you'd have to loan me. come for coffee again soon. ----
