Quickly checking in

I really wanted to write this weekend but ended up spending part of Friday and today (Saturday) in bed.

I'm not sure if I told you the cold I thought I had was actually the flu that has been going around.  While I'm over the flu symptoms, I'm still feeling very weak and yucky (technical term).  ;)

Be back Monday...

You lie low and that's an order! Hope that this feeling yucky allows you to catch up on sleep. Praying for all those who are affected with this bugger.

Take is easy, put your feet up. My mother had it a couple of weeks ago. It took well over a week for her to get over it. And she had a flu shot. Nasty stuff!!

Dear Brenda, Rest and recover! Be well!

Dear Brenda, I'm so sorry about your illness. I am your reader in Zurich, and the flu has been horrible here too, as in the States.

Sadly, I was struck by this awful sickness while traveling around the holidays, it actually hit me on my birthday. Not what I was hoping for. I am recovered now, after suffering from a sinus infection as a result of the flu (at least I think one lead to another).

All that to say - rest, rest, rest and take good care of yourself and don't hesitate to see your doctor if it progresses into something else. Likely this is exactly what you are doing, since you are a wise lady.

God bless --

You probably rushed any activity, thinking you were better already. Poor baby - surround yourself with books in bed and read.

Ah, so sorry to hear that you're still struggling! Continue taking care of yourself and we'll see you when you're back to full(ish) health!

Wish I could bring a big pot of homemade chicken soup! Remember the old Bayer Aspirin commercials? "Get lots of rest and drink plenty of fluids" Praying you get over this quickly!
God Bless.

Hi Brenda - We had 5 out of 8 of my immediate family hit with the flu. We all live in the same little town in Western NY. I was spared (so far). They got in 3 days after Christmas. I have had the flu several times in the past, and I know, it is awful! Even after the worst of it is over, it takes another couple weeks. My mom got it to. Hang in there! Rhonda
