My World This Week

I think this is the longest period possible between (American) Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, so it seems rather odd that Advent "proper" has only begun.

But I'm enjoying the sights, sounds, and rituals of the Season... even if it is mostly at home.  :)

So... join me in my home this past week.

Your tree is beautiful--love the way the lights reflect in the window. The snowman collection is very cute, very Christmasy.

Wish I could stop for a cup of tea. Everything looks so cozy. I haven't done any decorating due to illness (hope to this weekend). I have to thank you for the encouragement to set up a pantry. I have been working on it and I am going to add an area for when someone is ill - 7-Up, crackers, chicken soup, etc. Nice to not have to go out. Have a wonderful day, Dee

Love all your decorations! The little log cabin is my favorite. I just put up my Christmas village yesterday, and my nativity scenes.(I have two) I love your Christmasy tea cups too! Have you read a Christmas Cup of Tea, by Tom Hegg? I just got Miss Read's "Christmas in Fairacre" this week and am loving it! I love making my home all Christmasy, but the older I get the longer it takes! Just found Susan Branch's calendar at the grocery store for the first time Ever! Love her artwork And her blog! Your blog and hers are my favorites. Thank you so much for sharing.
Blessings,
Laura C.

I love your tree! So pretty and perfect in the corner there!

I love all your reading and have not seen that book by Lucy Maud Montgomery before.

We enjoy many of the same things, Brenda! Fun!

Cat watching Cats LOL! Isn't it nice to be able to have the Christmas tree lights on in the morning. I so enjoy that as I'm having my morning coffee. Your tree looks lovely! I don't think I've ever seen an Avonlea Christmas? That's a different Anne. I'll look for that. I'm watching Gilmore Girl Christmas episodes. Love Stars Hollow at Christmas!
