I think I have that Susan Branch book you pictured but haven't looked at it in awhile. I'll have to try and find it. I'm guessing that you already read her blog--it's delightful...she has a great gift of making us all feel part of her world.

Cats are like kids...an empty box is great.

Love that photo of your tea steeping...sweet tea mug.

Oh your BBC boxed set looks so nifty. In fact, I spent some amount of time in my dreams trying to come up with a joke told in the final moments of the Vicar of Dibley. It drives me nuts when I can't remember a thing and, apparently, it seeps into my dreams. (Yes, I did at last get it sorted.)

Hi,
I really enjoy reading the Miss Read books! I haven't read them in awhile, mmm maybe its time to re-read them. Your holiday ornaments are cute.

Your table looks lovely! The BBC boxed set looks fun! I love the British shows. I wish we were able to see more of the current shows. I'm watching Downton Abbey revisted and they're showing sneak peaks of season 3. It looks soooo good!

I hope you car repairs will be reasonable and I'm so happy it all turned out ok.

Ah, Miss Read. I need to check those two titles out. Susan Branch is delightful...

Victoria is so cute...we are thinking of getting a kitten for Sarah. Friends had a litter and had them neutered/spayed and shots. There is a black male that sounds nice.

Off to do my big two week grocery shopping trip. I am going to meet my Mom for lunch, too.

Thanks for a glimpse into your world this week. We decorated a little yesterday. We are goiang to be alone this year and we are not going to pull as much stuff out as we usually do. We have done just enough, I think. What comes out, has to be put back. Ha! I wish you and yours a wonderful holiday season.
Love,
Marie

I ♥ the Miss Read books - and think I've read most all of them. They are among the few books that I don't mind re-reading :)

Oh...and your Thanksgiving table was simply beautiful!

Probably "No Holly for Miss Quine" will forever be on my bookshelf. It is as sweet as pie - but honest, too. It is the first Miss Read I had come by nearly 20 years ago. I was attracted to its cover when I saw it displayed in our local library on a round table of Christmas books and became one December book for "Mommy" among bags of books for the children.
