Thursday...

Thursdays and Fridays continue to surprise me, they are completely unexpected as the weeks seem to fly by and soon 2012 will be coming to an end.

Do I believe the world ends in December?  No... for we have a "world without end" and have been promised someday a new heaven and a new earth.

Can you imagine what the new earth will look like when it is free from all imperfection?  My husband has his MS degree in Wood Science from the School of Forestry and has often wondered what trees will look like when they are perfect.

As it is, nature takes my breath away in all its' imperfection...

I know what you mean it seems like the months are flying by. We are getting some lovely fall color. I love this time of year. Thanksgiving and Christmas always seem to come to quick. I'm savoring the beginning of fall here.

I am a tree lover and have been since I was a small child and my grandparents and parents always pointed out to me how beautiful and useful trees were. I lived near a natural forest and now live near another one and the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Trees seem very near perfect to me, even with all their flaws. They give glory to their Creator.

Thank you so much for sharing your autumn with us Brenda! We don't have the changing seasons out here so it's such a pleasure to see them from your point of view!
Love,
Tracey
P.S. So true about the time flying by...also true...with all it's imperfection the Creator's hand shines through!

Gosh that's a wonderful thought your hubby is thinking...what would a tree look like in its perfection...reminds me of the C.S. Lewis quote: It is a serious thing to live in a society of possible gods and goddesses, to remember that the dullest and most uninteresting
person you can talk to may one day be a creature which, if you saw it now, you would be strongly tempted to worship or else a horror and corruption such as you now meet, if at all, only in
a nightmare. All day long we are, in some degree, helping each other to one or other of these destinations.

People, too! Roses, too. All of creation, too. Fascinating.

Lovely look down your country road...

I visited the NC moutains earlier this week and just marveled at God's beauitful creation! The colors were just breathtaking. I can't even imagine what the new heaven and earth that God has planned for His children will look like in comparison to this earth!

My office is having an "end of the world" potluck on Dec 21 - just because. I'd say that a good 90% of them are without faith. This party is to laugh for them. And for me with faith, to laugh with them. We are destined for joy, not fear. And for those of the Kingdom, the joy begins - even in sorrow - now. The Bright Sadness.
