Melissa came over to our house last spring to show me the colors she had decided upon for the wedding.
I took the paint chips and held them up against the wall of my small dining room... they matched exactly. I also love shades of lavender, purple, and green. :)
The silk corsage I wore at the wedding looks beautiful snuggled in between silver teapots.
Hmmm... I think I need to polish some silver soon.
This Avon teacup was one of my gifts at the wedding rehearsal. It is very different than my other teacups, I love the shape and colors. It looks so Colonial.
Stephanie and I used to call this gray-green shade "Persuasion green" as it was a prominent color in the 1990's version of Persuasion we loved so much.
I think I'll watch the DVD and enjoy a cup of tea in my new teacup soon, even if it won't be as much fun without my daughter. We had all our favorite lines memorized like, "You pierce my heart."
Sigh...

What a beautiful, restful color combination - and your cup and saucer are lovely.
I just wanted to take the time to let you know how much I enjoy your blog.
I also wanted to say
that "Persuasion" is my favorite Jane Austen movie. My favorite bit is not a line but a moment. Near the end of the movie when they hold hands still wearing gloves. That is one of the most romantic moments I have ever seen in any movie.
Thank you for the entertainment and information that you have provided me with for the last year or so!

Persuasion...hmmm...I'll look that up.
It's a beautiful tea cup. Love the soft green.
Hello again Brenda;
I wish we lived close by, I would love to come over and share a cup of tea with you!! Send your lovely daughter a tea bag of your favorite tea and ask her to have a cup at a certain time and day that is convenient to both of you. You do the same and you will have tea together!! Even text eachother as you drink up. Love, Nana
What a beautiful color combination.
We're big movie quoters here, too. One of my girls will post a movie line on Facebook and then the rest of us will follow up with line after line after line. I'm sure other people reading our feed think we're nuts, but it's such fun and brings back such great memories of watching the movies together.
My husband and I love Persuasion too. Every once in a while we get in the mood to pop it in the dvd player. We have such fun making comments throughout as always. I think we always say the same things, like "Mary is suffering from depression".... Anyway, It's one of our comforts.
Love stopping in to visit your blog when I can. I have the audo book of Persuasion on my iPod. When I can't sleep at night, I listen to that so I don't disturb my husband with having a reading light on. It's my absolute favorite Jane Austen! Lynn
