Scenes from the walking path...

I decided to take my camera along on my walk this morning, which most likely affected the aerobic part of the walk as one stopped and snapped pictures quite often... but it was a lovely morning to share my surroundings.

After my walk, I rewarded myself with a cup of very good coffee at a nearby cafe (and tried not to feel guilty about paying that much for a cup of coffee!).  The same person who has been known to walk out of the grocery store with only a gallon of milk, aghast at the rising prices... paid $2.00 for cup of coffee!

Sigh... I must admit, one is actually purchasing more than Tazmanian caffeine... one is leasing out a corner of a table in which to sip coffee and read the brilliant A Short Life of Jonathan Edwards on the Kindle while taking a break from a very long To Do list.  I must look at it as a cheap and brief vacation.  :)

So, I give you scenes from my morning walk.  I didn't bother to take pictures of houses or research buildings... just a walk with nature... and John Denver singing "Take Me Home, Country Roads" on the itty bitty iPod.

By the time I reach this bench, I have made my destination and my reward is to sit for awhile and nibble a snack... or just breath.

What a lovely place to walk! I am glad too, that you had your wee vacation today. You are going to be busy, busy this month - you were resting and restoring yourself for the upcoming wedding!

Beautiful walk. Brenda, thank you for always tucking in some extra tidbits that we can ponder or act upon. Now you've just made me very curious about Jonathan Edwards. Have a sweet day...

I like John Denver and have had a "best of" cassette for years. "Sunshine on my Shoulders" is a beautiful song. "Grandma's Feather Bed" is fun. Isn't the spring air just right for country walks with John Denver?

The pictures confirmed my imagination's painting of your path inspired by your apt descriptions.

A lovely path to begin your day well.

(Your mini-vacation is a wonderful way to think of your coffee break!)

I know it's rather ridiculous and retro, but I'm a fan of John Denver's music, too. So sing-along-able.

I love your walking path--so peaceful looking! My husband and I walk every day and must say it's the neighborhood for us --2 miles. Great way to start the day!
