Pretty...

Cross purchased on clearance.  Hope... a favorite word.
A rare sunny day in January was perfect for some natural light closeups...

Moved from the top of the china cabinet... would you believe it is plastic???

One of my favorite teacups, I love the butter yellow accents.

Found at different times while thrifting, both titles I love to "wear".

Perhaps my favorite Goodwill teacup.

Another thrifting find from a few years ago, such pretty etchings.

Just looking at this teacup makes me smile.

Morning light...  no, the apples are not real!

Pretty indeed...every loved item you have shared. (And no, I would never have guessed plastic.)
I am always inspired by your thrifting finds!

I have that last teacup you show. It was my grandmother's cup, and I love it, too!

Many blessings to you today.

Love all your pretty tea cups! I've started collecting those too after inheriting several from my grandmother.

I love all your teacups but my favorite photo of today is your bowl of apples -- I love the light shining off of them.

Love all your pretty things, especially of course, the tea things! So lovely, and I love when I can find these lovely things at the thrift store!

Your eye for real beauty is what makes your home warm and welcoming.

Love all the pretty teacups. What a fantastic "find" at Goodwill on the beautiful cup. The lamp looks "real". When you change things around and put them in a different place, it's like having something new. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

I like the word HOPE too. I actually did my final thesis, at the Faculty of Theology in Rome, with the title "Hope, a Christian answer to the present world".

P. S. I just noticed on one of your older posts where you were posting your bookshelves that you have "The Welcoming Hearth" by Elizabeth Skoglund. This is one of my favorite books which I have read over and over. Wish I had all your posts in bookform so I could re-read them on paper.
Blessings, Sharon D

Hello Brenda,

I just wanted to say that I just *love* your posts and I am often blessed and inspired by your loving, beautiful, and candid spirit. Your blog is a breath of fresh air in my day. I have been following for about a year and a half and I have been commenting very rarely here and there. But it is past time to say "thank you" for being real and encouraging your sisters in the Lord by sharing your life. I am inspired to blog myself. (I know-does the world really need one more blogger? But I would love to have it for family, most of all.)
I love your desire for beauty and the way you share it with others. I would love to be one to bless you with a gift to add to your comforting, warm, and beautiful home.
I have enjoyed reading how God has blessed you with things such as your teakettle. I believe that may have been a tiny bit of God restoring what was special to you. God loves us so and it is amazing to see his hand in every part of our lives.
You are a blessing.
Thank you.
In God's Grace,
Michelle
BTW, Miss Victoria is gorgeous. I have always wanted a Maine Coon Cat. I used to subscribe to Cat Fancy Magazine. I would just dream of owning a Maine Coon someday. I enjoy the pics of "Her Highness". :-)
