Christmas decorating - dining area and living room

The pictures are not always the best as I must use a flash part of the time (living in a forested area does that to the light availability).  But since perfect is rarely possible...

And... now for a bit of decorating reality... I give you my coffeetable.

You're so cute! I talked about reality, though I didn't show any. LOL! Put the kettle on, I'll be right over for some tea. I'll bring the pumpkin bread. What shall we talk about?

Cozy and inviting. I love the lilac under your chair rail in the dining room. Is that wallpaper or painting? Either way, it's nice.

Dearest Brenda,

Your home is soooo cozy and sweet. I know I would be right at home sitting in your dining room, having a cup of tea and visiting with you.

You are always such an inspiration, thank you for your blog...it means so very much to me.

Yours kindredly,

Oh, Brenda, what a delightful Christmas like feeling your home has. I think you have achieved your goals of having beauty around and a cozy warm feeling that makes people relaxed and peaceful and makes a home a haven.

That all looks really lovely. Especially the trees in the dining area. We have our tree in a different room of the house but I like the idea of having it where we eat which is, after all, the space in the house where we spend most of our time.

And your coffee table looks like mine. Loving the Nancy Guthrie book for the second year in a row. I hope you are enjoying it too and that it is filling your heart with joy.

Lovely decorating, Brenda. Lovely home. Thanks for sharing your pictures. I like reading the titles on your book shelves. I've ordered some of the books you love to see if I'll love them too. BTW, love the coffee table! LOL Pam D.

Beautiful, Cozy, Homey pictures! Seeing your book there on the coffee table reminded me to mention that I have just finished "No Holly for Miss Quinn", which I learned of from your reading list, and dearly loved it. I now can not wait to get back to the library for more of her work. Thank you so much!

How fun - and our coffee table decor looks just like yours! Piles of books and just enough room for a mug of tea and to put feet up! I'm glad you've been able to make your home extra welcoming for the Christmas season - I hope it brings joy to your heart Brenda!

Brenda, Everything looks so festive and cozy! LOL - Your coffee table looks like my dining room table (minus the remote and add a stack of coupons that need cutting). Your display of snowmen is so cute and love your Christmas trees in the dining room!

Glad you got the package and hopefully everything was intact!
