Coming out of the crankies

 Creche 2009
Let's see...
  • Christmas tree decorated - check
  • Creche assembled and placed next to front door - check
  • Tripping over Rubbermaid boxes labeled Christmas - check
  • Maine Coon kitty batting ornaments - check
  • Unexpected snow outside - check
  • Christmas Devotional on coffee table for an afternoon quiet time - check
  • Snowmen getting all excited about their season of showing off - check
  • Annual tears shed as I unpack decorations - check (sigh...)

One of the things I love about blogging is knowing kindred spirits.  The comments yesterday made me laugh out loud because I had Pandora playing in another window on Firefox and had just read Lanier's latest post.  Her Advent season posts are my favorites.

As for Ann's Holy Experience blog... I love her writing, too.  Both Ann and Lanier can take my breath away at times.

My feelings are beginning to catch up with my doings but I know I'll feel much better when I get these Rubbermaid boxes back to the garage.

Although I do have one question... where in the world did November go?  It passed by me in a vapor.

I know about that vaporous feeling too.

Chelsea and I looked at each other today as we realized it is December 1st. It really is amazing how the time goes so quickly.

one year i never put up one single
decoration. i think i needed to
give myself permission. my family
didn't now what to think, but one
by one began decorating.

it gives me joy to recall that i do it
because i love it, not because i
have to!

i visited lanier's blog and adored it.
thank you.

I agree about November. It just disappeared... I was thinking that the other day but I don't know where it disappeared too. I hope December will stay a little longer.

I know! November? Poof.

How wonderful that tears shed over ornaments can bring you around. ;>

Hugs, my dear, gentle ones...

Yes, I love to paw through those treasured ornaments and feel the joys, the sorrows, the memories pouring down on me. Will my son remember? Will he realize that the two of us were so poor we had to use a star fish for a tree topper, sea urchins and sand dollars for ornaments, and barely any gifts??

Sending love,

Dearest Brenda, you walk the talk. :) Thank you for your consistent example to us all of feelings falling in rank with faith, and not the other way around. The Lord bless you this holy Adventide! :)
Love,
Lanier

Dearest Brenda,

November...what November?

Thank you for stepping out in faith, asking for joy to follow. I need to be reminded of that from time to time.

Yours so kindredly,
