I was quite tired by the time the dough finished its' first rising... so this was my easy way out.
Cinnamon rolls were covered with maple icing (not as thick as cake icing but not a glaze) all over the top and walnuts pressed into half of them. :)
This has been my
"go to recipe" for bread and cinnamon rolls since my husband and Stephanie gave me the bread machine as a gift in the 1990s.

I used to make sticky buns every Saturday night for Sunday Mornings, but haven't done it for years. I may have to get a daughter to try it, these rolls of yours look delicious!

OhmyOhmy!!! And I'm sitting here early Saturday morning waiting for the biscuits to come out of the oven. Makin' me hungry! Beautiful!

Oh, I want to come to your house and eat cinnamon rolls now. I may (just may) be passing through your way this fall... :)
Yes, I met Lanier! You know the sort of soul friend she is - it was one of the best parts of the weekend. Someday, you must meet her and until then we must all continue to read Goudge and write back and forth.
Hope this Saturday is beautiful for you!
I have two cinnamon roll recipes, one we just love and the other is simply okay. Yours look delicious!
Ciao, I do remember my mother in law making one with vanilla icecream. Do you know what I am talking about? I like your blog, please keep writing. Thank you.
These look so good. Took me back to my days when I had a Cinnamon Roll shop in Dallas Texas ... right down the street from the American Airlines headquarters, called The Cinnamon Station!
