Further thoughts of friendships

I really shouldn't try to think, post, type, and get ready to leave the house at the same time. Believe it or not, there was a day when I could talk on the phone, type, and talk to someone face to face at the same time. I did it all the time in my former corporate life... back when I was in my 20s and 30s. Sheesh...

I missed putting my most important thought to pen... or mouse... in my earlier post. How great it is that we have the Net, whether blogs or websites, to "know we are not alone". If one would view only TV, one would not only be soon in need of a straight jacket but also not realize just how many people there are in this world who think in a similar fashion as they do.

I have a blog daughter (Kimberly) and a blog son (Freddie), both of whom I pray for often. Neither have I met in person. Although Freddie invited me to Italy... sigh... and Kimberly and I have talked about having tea. Perhaps Stephanie and I could go to Colorado and meet Kimberly and the "Clarkson girls" in person. I'd have to get over that flying thing... which is harder to put behind me than that whole Bigfoot thing... aka: strange and peculiar phobias.

All that to say... you all make me feel like I've received a warm hug when you leave a nice comment or send an e-mail. This past Christmas I felt like a Princess. My husband is always amazed at your generosity, for it is only through special blog readers that I have the availability to post each day or have pictures to show you important things like grandchildren and gardens.

I would "thank the Academy" and all of you. Consider yourself hugged. :)

I would simply adore it! Think of all the goodies we could have, taking into account special dietary needs, of course! I'll put the kettle on...

Your blog is my one MUST read each day. You have walked the walk of one who has - and does - suffer, so your words have the weight of experience behind them, making them as valuable as fine gold. I can read lots of blogs that are good, have good recipes, give good household hints or are even inspirational, but yours is a blog by a woman who has walked a very difficult - and continues to - walk a very hard road at times. That is a MUST READ blog for a Christian woman. I admire your persistence in posting and redesigning your blog, adding things here and there. I have a blog, too - but I don't post every day or even very often. I get side-tracked - and then don't write for a long time. I had built up a small readership, but they've jumped ship after going to my blog day after day and finding nothing new. Even though I work outside the home, that is no excuse, since I know of others who do so and faithfully blog. So your words are gold - and you have my admiration.

I remember exactly how I found you. You were the first blog I ever looked at. My sister in law had found your blog when she googled coffee and teas. That was in November of 2007 and I have loved it ever since. You have so many wonderful qualities and have a gift of teaching.

Brenda, I am loving your blog too! I could've named my own blog the same as yours--coffee, tea and books being my favorite things.

And I was just thinking today how blogging wouldn't be nearly as fun or popular if it weren't for the comments. I just love the interaction of it all.

So here's another comment "hug" to add to your day!
