Dayspring tea time products and give away
I'm so happy to share these items with you. I was contacted by Dayspring (the Christian division of Hallmark) to review the products and I told them I'd also be happy to share in a give away.
I chose not to put any advertisements on Coffee Tea Books and Me with the exception of the Amazon widget (which lets me share my favorite books and brings me a little book credit!). However, in this case, I wanted to share these lovely products with you because they are pretty and so reasonably priced.
Just last week I was looking at china products at Macy's (I had a couple hours until I had to pick up the guys) and was aghast... that's a great word, aghast... at the prices. One teacup cost $60.00!
Not only are the Dayspring prices reasonable but they are offering a 20% discount off the total purchases when you order. (I am not receiving any kickbacks, hehehe..) I'll share pictures of a few of their products and then you can follow the link to see what other "tea time" pretties they offer (just in time for Mother's Day and Spring events!).
Here is their tea tray (Tray with Inserts) that I've shown propped up against my vintage sewing machine (which will give you an idea of the size). I not only loved the inside picture but guess what? The bottom of the tray is removable and it comes with four different tea time inserts but you could also display your own pictures or "scrapbook" a design.
It is very sturdy and deep enough to hold a teapot and a few teacups safely. Plus... it has glass over the picture insert which makes it easy to clean. I can also see putting pretty vintage lace linen napkins over the bottom (especially if using one of my floral teapots). Can you tell I love this tray??
Next is their beautiful little "Pink Floral Tea for One" that is so petite and feminine. It makes me smile.
Dayspring is famous for their beautiful cards which I've purchased for many years. I especially like to go to the local Christian bookstore to find a Dayspring card for my husband on Father's Day and our anniversary. Below are a couple pictures of their Teacup Boxed Note set... so feminine and like the rest of the products, a good price even when a sale is not offered.
Of course they offer pretty teacups and teapots.... and guess what? That's what you have a chance to win! They are a beautiful blue and white with the scripture "This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it".
Here is what the teapot and cup look like together.
All you have to do is leave a comment between now and Monday. I'm using this time to take a little blog break and give you time to peruse the Dayspring tea time website should you want to take advantage of this sale they are offering you.
To enter to win the teapot and teacup, just leave a comment on this post. Perhaps how you would use the teapot and teacup?
If you decide to purchase any tea time items on their website, to receive an additional 20% sale price just use the coupon code SPRING09. This sale expires May 1st, 2009. Yes, you even get to take an additional 20% off sale items by using this code.
To view the Dayspring line of tea time products (there are a lot more than I have reviewed), click here. There are two "pages" of items so be sure to check out everything. As I said, I'm not getting any kickbacks from Dayspring, I'm just happy to participate.
Have a very blessed Passover and Easter my friends. I'll announce the name that gets pulled out of the basket on Monday. :)

Brenda,
How precious the tea pot and cup are!
Two weeks ago I hosted a tea for some of the ladies in my group. It was suggested by five year old Corrie who wanted to dress up and have a tea party.
I put tea pots all over the house and small vases of red roses (bought on discount at the grocery store --$5 a dozen). The foods were simple: fruit salad (from my Angel Food box), homemade millet bread with pimento cheese or cream cheese and chives, honey covered almonds, gluten free apple mini-muffins with honey butter, sweet potato chips, and a cheese ball with gluten free chips. And, of course, an assortment of herbal teas. I bought a small set of children's stamping material for the three and five year olds and set their very own special table complete with rabbit themed tea set and a three foot Winnie the Pooh (we had honey, remember) in a spring outfit.
Candles lit the house and conversation and laughter filled it!
When my guests left, each of them got a small nosegay of the roses, tied with ribbon (bought at a surplus outlet, on sale, 29-cents a roll!) and a small plate of leftovers.
We are already planning a May Day tea that we will have out of doors and everyone has to wear a wild hat and white gloves.
The tea set would be a part of our next tea, should I win it!
Have a glorious Easter!
Matty
I surely can't be the first to comment! I have a dear friend who collects tea pots and tea cups. I would be giving this lovely item to her on her birthday in June. That's what my plan is if I were to win it.
of course I want to enter!
The teapot and cup are lovely. I would use it to serve my daughter and daughter-in-law tea when they stop over for a visit. Right now I have been using a teabag in a cup.
Mrs. L.
I would love to be able to give the tea pot and cup to a dear friend who lives in Michigan, but is coming to Colorado to visit me in June. She is a tea lover!
I love your blog, having discovered it recently.
I have never left a comment on a blog before. However, I want you to know how much I love reading your ponderings, your recipes, your book reviews, about your family and your struggles - oh, and about your thrift store finds! I have read some blogs on frugality that left me feeling that I can never enjoy anything lovely, that it is all about depriving myself. You have shown me that I can still have some very lovely things and eat tasty food and still pursue a life of frugality. Thank you. The tea set is gorgeous. I love having women from my church and from our community over for tea. I feel it is a ministry. Thank you again, Brenda.
I was reared by parents that had survived the depression and lived by the philosophy "use it up-wear it out, make it do-or do without. The harder everyday life becomes, the more grateful I am. You rarely miss what you've never had. My husband and I consider an Arby roast beef sandwich, while running errands. like most people would think of, as dinner out. It is pretty rare when I don't cook our meal. Tea is our beverage of choice after water of course. Being from the South, it is often iced. I like it hot quite often.
I hope everyone reading this has a wonderful weekend. It really doesn't matter what your individual beliefs are. If nothing else spend some time reflecting on the things you value in your life. For me that is faith, family, health, and all my friends, both real and virtual. My virtual friends have a real existence also, though we will probably never meet. I call them virtual because right now they exist only on my computer.
May your world be at peace
Dearest Brenda,
I would love to be entered in your give away!
I can just imagine sipping my tea in the front parlour, a bit of honey and a dash of cream....bliss.
You are so thoughtful, I am sure this will bless the winner.
Yours kindredly,
Shan

I am new to your blog. I've only been reading a few weeks (a few days prior to your computer dying!)
I am in a house surrounded by males. Even our cats are boys. A beautiful tea pot and tray would be so lovely to have for myself. I can see putting the tray w/the pot and cup on my futon while I curl up and read Martha Stewart magazine.
Thanks for hosting this give-away.
With the new tradition I've started (with myself!) this would surely be lovely to have!
The products are beautiful, aren't they? I love to look at their catalog, and online!
Brenda,
I would love to win the tea pot & cup. I would use it for tea for myself during my quiet time in the evening after all the kids are in bed.
Debbie in KY
Hi Brenda, you know I love dishes and these are cute so is that tray. I've never heard of them so I'll go check out their site now.
Happy Easter!
Manuela
Simply beautiful Brenda! If I won it I would use it to make myself a nice cup of Candy Cane Lane tea and pamper myself a bit.And once I make friends at our new church I could maybe even invite someone over to our tiny apartment and share a cup of tea and discuss the goodness of God.:-)So,please enter me in your give away. Thanks Brenda.Love~Sharon :-)
How cool is that? You should be receiving something...
I love DaySpring. Two of my favorite mugs are from that company as my beloved's daughter works in a Bible bookstore and she can't help but leave a bit of her paycheck behind.
That teapot and teacup is lovely and I would use them in the usual way...enjoying a nice cup of hot tea in the afternoon for a pick-me-up.
Have a beautiful weekend, Brenda. Easter blessings to you and yours.
Hi Brenda, What a wonderful experience! Please don't enter me in the drawing--as I have too many tea things-- but I had to comment on this give away and the Hallmark donation. What a blessing!! I pray you and your family have a lovely Easter.
Warmly,
Tracey
P. S. I will be emailing you this weekend or early next week!xo
Brenda,
What a wonderful give-away! The teapot and cup are so beautiful as are the other Dayspring products. I'd love to use that teapot at our mother/daughter tea in May. I have loved all things tea for many years and find your blog so refreshing; I feel like we are all sitting down on your porch for a cuppa and listening to you share your gracious and frugal lessons with us. Thanks.
How fun!
I love tea and having tea parties! One of the things I do is host ladies tea parties for my homeschool co-op moms and for our ladies from church.
But really tea is a part of our everyday life...just this morning we had tea, scones, lemon curd and mock devonshire cream for breakfast. We love it.
I do not have much blue but these would be lovely with what I have!
I would love to be entered into your giveaway. I drink a cup of hot tea nearly every morning at work. It is calming and warming--my desk is in a corner of a concrete block building. I also have a small collection of teapots and pitchers in my kitchen on top of my cabinets. They do get used from time to time as well.
Glad Christopher is doing better. I'm using my husband's school computer tonight, but he thinks he's got the bugs/worms out of our other one. It's taken nearly a week!
I too, love the tray. I am so happy you have been posting often.
I've ordered from Dayspring before, I like their Christmas cards. They are very reasonably priced. I just broke the spout on my favourite teapot, we're hoping the crazy glue will hold! So, please do enter me in your lovely giveaway!
Thanks
Niki
My oldest daughter and I like to have tea together about once a month and discuss books. Well, today we found out that she is having a baby girl the end of August. What a wonderfull tradition we are starting. Thanks for the opportunity for this beautiful set.
Oh, I would just love, love, love to have that teapot! Thanks for entering me in the drawing. Nancy D.
What a lovely tea set! I will have to keep that in mind when I need a special gift for someone in our church. As a Pastor's wife, I'm always on the lookout for "Classic" Christian gifts.
What a beautiful set! I would love to treat my Mom to a wonderful tea with this! Thanks for the opportunity!
Have a Blessed Resurrection Sunday!
The teapot and cup are pretty. I might give them to my married daughter -- or the daughter-in-law to come. Thanks for this kind offer!

I read your blog daily and find it inspirational. I have never commented before. If I should be chosen to win your give away I would use it as a door prize at church. We are planning a high tea for our 25 or more year members. we want to celebrate their faithfulness over the years.

Thank you Brenda, Dayspring has such lovely products. Our local Christian book and gift store carries many of them. The teapot and cup are adorable. Blessings and Happy Easter, Heather

Hi Brenda ~ you will shake your head in pity over this...but I'm not really a hot tea lover. However, recently I had tea at a friend's surprise b'day tea and this week I took a visiting friend to a tea room. Both times I loved the tea! What have I been missing all these years??? I would probably still prefer diet Coke, but I'm branching out...and would love to win the tea set giveaway! :)
I'm a big tea drinker and I can see me using this every evening on my sunporch. Me and the tea.
Thanks for the chance to win.
