Breakfront in Autumn...I finally have a chance to write about Christopher's test as dishes are soaking in hot, soapy water. I didn't get to any e-mails today and I probably won't tomorrow (as I have quite a bit to do on Tuesday) but Wednesday is looking good... so far.
Christopher's test went well. We won't know for certain what the lump is but the radiologist was fairly certain it wouldn't be cancerous. It didn't have enough "mass" to it. What it is bewildered her, though. We'll know more when the specialist has looked at it.
I'm still slowly but surely organizing and cleaning the house. After he dropped me off at home, I looked around to see what still needed organizing and my eyes came upon the breakfront (aka: hutch). Now, the outside looked fine but the inside was another matter. The top drawer contained far too many teacups (I can't believe I just admitted there can be too many teacups). The two center drawers were all jumbled with "stuff" that badly needed straightening out.
This evening I now have a small box of teacups for my daughter to look through someday as well as a few going to Goodwill. I also (finally) rescued a box from the garage to use as an official gift box. I purchase things on clearance throughout the year to have ready for gift baskets, especially at Christmas. They are now organized and in one box instead of a few different areas of the house. Most items were only a couple of dollars but they are lovely.While I was working on these, my bread machine was preparing dough for cinnamon rolls. They were just out of the oven when Christopher arrived home to pick up gym clothes and an extra textbook he needed. All were frosted with my favorite cinnamon roll frosting recipe (found in an Amish cookbook long ago) and a few were then dipped into chopped pecans for my husband to enjoy later. I took a few to my neighbor who helped us this week and Christopher took a plate with him for his study group. Better to not have too many around that would entice me, cinnamon rolls are a food I find hard to resist.

Glad to hear its good news about Christopher..i will continue to light a candle.....MMMMMM cinnamon rolls, im DYING for them, but hubby and i are on a ***gasp*** DIET! Love all your teacups :-)

That's good news from the world of tests and things.
My mom must go to the hospital for her procedures from now on...they're too complicated for the office. She said that it just went to prove that she was fearfully and wonderfully made. I told her mostly just fearfully and we both got a chuckle out of that.
I'd be frightened to open the top drawer with all the beautiful teacups. Perhaps your furniture isn't as ancient as mine and doesn't stick.

I love dainty teacups and cinnamon rolls ~ not necessarily in that order but the a freshly baked batch of the latter would NOT be a good thing for me to have around :o)

Regarding your camera cable - I discovered the cables for my camera and my daughter's camera were interchangeable - it has a USB connection on one end and a small connection to the camera on the other end. Was yours like that? Maybe a store like Radio Shack can help with something universal..

I'm glad to hear that Christopher's test went well. That was good news! It's nice to get things organized. I'd like to say you can never have too many teacups (or plates) :-) but you can. So it's good to go through them once in a while. I went through my dishes last fall and donated a bunch.

Remember all the beautiful cake plates also made using a turned over tea cup as the bottom glued with sturdy glue on to any pretty plate that looks good with it. You can use some of those cups you love and keep it for yourself....or make them to give as gifts and put them into your new gift box. :) We are all so glad to hear the good news about Christopher!! Will keep praying for the rest of story to be as good. Jody

My dad goes to the local thrift store and hunts through their cord box. He has found the phone charger he needs and a television cable to connect their portable dvd player to their tv. Might be worth checking for a compatible camera cord!

I'm just learning today about Christopher's tests. Praying for good results. I am so sorry to hear you can't find a cable for the camera. I love the photo of your teacups all lined up. What a great way to keep them.
