So, it went like this...
I needed to run a few errands in the town where the community college is located so I dropped my son off for his morning class and attempted to finish everything in two hours. I didn't...
However, I did do my most important shopping for the day when I stopped by their Goodwill and found a Victorian looking trash can at 99 cents (you'd have to see it but trust me, it looks Victorian) for the tiny bathroom that came with pink flowers on the wall and shower curtain when we bought the place. So pretty...
Oh, yes, my real reason for shopping was to purchase the items I usually get at Target. They have the best prices on so many things (even better than Wal Mart!) like my favorite vanilla and the tea I drink in the evenings.
As I was leaving, I walked by their Starbucks and... there it was... on the blackboard... the REAL sign of autumn. Pumpkin Spice Lattes are back. Thanks to a lovely reader who had won a $10.00 Starbucks card and sent it to me (and whom I haven't had a chance to write back, yet... forgive me!!!)... I could celebrate with a Venti Pumpkin Spice and yes, it was just as good as I remembered.
As I sipped it on my way back to the college, I was thinking about Heaven and if something on earth is this good... what would be the nectar of choice once one enters into Eternity. Hmmm... will there be Starbucks on the new Earth? The things one ponders while driving on a busy road that one should be watching ever so more carefully.
Last week, I worked with a young mom whose husband is finishing his PhD. She agreed with me about lattes (for both of us they are rare and more like a mini-vacation than coffee) and the absolute thrill of receiving a Starbucks Gift Card. It is the only way either of us can enjoy our "vacation" guilt free. :)
Still no decorating and no pictures, no packages sent or awards posted, not to mention getting the laundry caught up. However, it was a good day. :)

LOL! I went to Target yesterday and had a Pumpkin Spice Latte and thought of you!
My Target had practically everything on sale - I guess they must be getting ready to put their fall lines out. It was hard to walk out of there with just what was on my list (plus some 50% off potting soil)!

I just got to read your posts today and you have made me so happy. Hooray for the Pumpkin Spice Lattes. You know it doesn't take much to get me happy and that's just the way I like it. If we can't be excited about the little things how can we be happy and excited about the big things.
Thanks for mentioning the latte! I haven't been to Starbucks in ages! I'm heading there this weekend to get a Pumpkin Spice Latte! So glad they're back!
Oh, I'm really enjoying your blog!
Blessings!
