I can't believe I did all of that

Oh, my aching muscles!

I finished cleaning the vinyl siding on the front porch (Mr. Clean Magic Erasers work GREAT as long as you are careful). I then cleaned all the windows, the door, the rocking chair and the park bench, as the storm had left what seemed like ground in dirt. I took a light oil stain to the rocking chair and the garden bench (which sits on the porch) to get them looking spiffy again. I cleaned the glass shelves on the shelving next to the door and "washed" the silk geraniums.

I moved to the back deck where I collected and swept everything that was still there from the big storm (I'd swept the front porch but hadn't tackled the deck, yet). I cleaned all the dirt the storm left behind on every surface. I planted the flowers I found on clearance in containers I had stored in the shed. I cleaned the mess I made while planting flowers.

So that is why I'm not writing about anything else today. I think my brain got too much sun. That has to be it, you know. Either that or my blood sugars are acting up. It can't be that I'm past fifty now and can't do as much as I used to. It can't possibly be as simple as that.

Picture: Someone once sent me this in an e-mail, the gray striped kitty looks just like my Storm Girl

Maybe this is what Storm Girl is doing in heaven, waiting for you - giving kitty massages. I know that is silly, but I do believe that our animals continue on in some fashion, for us to know again, in some way.

What a lovely thought!

I truly believe our beloved furry friends will be in heaven with us, too.

Brenda, I sure hope you were in the shade during all this activity. You were one busy chick.I'll bet it looks wonderful and fresh. Aren't those Mr. Clean eraser thingies the bomb? I love the picture and totally agree that our animals that bring us so much joy will be with us on the other side. I don't think that hurts a thing to believe that way. When they look in your eyes with their sweet expressions and are as devoted to us as they are, I can't help but think He knows how much we love them. His eye is on the sparrow and He's keeping up with them. I hope you get plenty of rest this weekend. Wait, isn't this the party coming up? :)

You really went to a lot of work but the good feelings that come when it's done are worth it, I always say. I can almost picture your house and yard, you describe things so well.

Definitely it can't be that! Sounds as if you may have been on a roll and have overdone it a bit. Bet it all looks great, though!
