Thursday Threesome

Carla had an interesting Thursday Threesome today. I thought I'd participate because the question gave me cause to ponder...

Name your three favorite articles of clothing you wear? It took awhile but here are my three favorites...

1. My down coat, I absolutely love my Winter coat. Which is a good thing. When you live in areas where Winters can be long and cold, one had better invest in a coat they love. Mine was purchased on clearance about eight years ago and it still looks brand new. It was originally $300.00 but it had been marked down to around $50.00.

It was the first item I purchased in what I now call my "blue years", when I was attracted to certain deep shades of blue. (I figure if the great artists can have years of certain colors, so can I.) When the winds are blowing and the wind chill is below zero, I can put the hood of that coat up with the fur around the edge of the hood and feel all warm and cozy.

2. My walking shoes, which really must be replaced but they are so comfortable. I can't stand to part with them. I wear them constantly and I'd even wear them with my "church clothes" if it wouldn't look tacky.

3. The button up wool sweater my daughter brought back for me from Ireland. It is comfortable, it has pockets, it makes my heart sing when I wear it.

I'm enjoying reading other posts of Carla's Country Living, especially those about purchasing our food as locally as possible...good stuff.

Welcome, Carla!

It is always good to meet kindred spirits. I will be looking forward to more of the series about Eating Local.

My husband has to be careful because of severe allergies so I have to check every label on canned goods. Do you know...I can't FIND pineapple from Hawaii, anymore? I can from all other parts of the world.

I'm glad to have you here, too.
