Would you please pray for my friend

I am a part of a Christian Women's Forum that has been together since the 1990s. We all met on another forum which no longer exists so a small, private forum was created just so we could stay in touch with each other. We have gone through a lot together including our financial and health crisis (a prayer chain when I ended up in the intensive care unit due to the diabetes, prayer for us to get on Disability, etc.), the death of one member's husband and son in a car crash, children who have "gone prodigal", and many other everyday challenges in living.

This evening, I checked my e-mails and there were two "crisis calls" to go to the forum. Our Canadian friend (whom we call Tinger) had been arrested. This is a mother of two elementary school age children who has been fighting cancer for many years. A few months ago, her husband left her (for another woman). Since then her life has been an unbelievable nightmare as this man, who used to at least make the appearance of being a Christian, has done what he can to make her life miserable and attempt to get their boys to come and live with him. We are all shaking our heads in disbelief although I have seen a few instances of this in our own homeschool community.

The crisis call tonight was to tell us he had put a warrant out for her arrest. She had gone to his place and found his girlfriend there with him. She has admitted coming "unglued" and not behaving well but she now realizes it had all been a setup and she's angry with herself and scared.

My blogging friends, I don't know what is happening in this world. It's just crazy sometimes. Please pray for Tinger, that God's will be done in her life. She's a mom who has lost her health (she nearly passed on many times but is thankfully in what doctor's call a "temporary" remission), lost her husband, has no idea where money will be coming from to keep her house, and now...she has lost her freedom and will spend at least one night in jail. If facts can be manipulated, she will lose her sons. If she loses them, she has lost her will to live. She is hanging on to her faith by a very thin thread.

Whenever we think of our own challenges and wonder if things can get worse...yes they can. Tinger shows us that. Thank you for praying for this mom, cancer patient, and friend.

As for me, I'm going to count my blessings and give my family big hugs. The guys aren't perfect but that's okay because neither am I. But we all love each other and we're all on the same team. I got to chat with my daughter this morning and hear her plans for a dinner party she's having Saturday night. I had two elderly cats curled up next to me (or on top of me!) at various times today. There was good food for dinner and great tea afterward. Life is good...
