My grandson was fascinated by these
My grandson was fascinated by the dried flowers hanging on the side of my yellow pantry. They originally were a bouquet purchased from the farmer's market, a mixture of various autumn flowers, hydrangea and red berries. As I thought of it, I realized his mother couldn't dry flowers in her home. There are too many small people who would try to eat them.
The yellow pantry is a twin, both of which were originally used by my mother-in-law after inheriting them from her mother. The other cabinet was beautifully refinished by my husband in his college years and was displayed in his family's informal dining area next to the kitchen. This one has the original yellow paint on the outside, red painted shelves on the inside...a little more shabby than chic. She kept it in her basement to store laundry items. However, it was this cabinet which I loved and I still do. It reminds me of the original farm kitchen where it was first enjoyed nearly a century ago.
