The Hutch Decorated for Fall

It is hard to get a good photo in the Living Room since the only window opens to the porch and we don't get a lot of sunshine through that window.  However, recently on a sunny day I took a few photos.

To be honest, my house is decorated for Fall all the time due to the color scheme and brown transferware collection. The Friendly Village teapot and sugar bowl were purchased with Amazon credit.  Everything else was mostly purchased at thrift stores and an antique mall.  The Friendly Village tall coffee server was around $7.00 at an antique mall only because it has a chip under the lid and the creamer was a few dollars because it was missing the sugar bowl.

I've written before that when my son was a child, he said our neighbors thought we were rich because of the way our house was decorated.  We had over time purchased a few pieces of good furniture and we inherited very nice antiques... but mostly it is from thrift shops, garage sales, Goodwill, etc.  ;)  I love finding beautiful bargains.

The only time I remove everything on the Hutch is at Christmas.  I carefully pack and store what usually resides on the shelves and them bring them back out after the Holidays.

Very nice. I find it hard to walk away from anything Johnson Bros. I'm heading to the cupboards now to find some fallish plates for my corner cabinet. Have a great week.

Looks so homey and cozy...I can almost smell cinnamon and pumpkin spice... You are brave to pack it all up at Christmas. I still haven’t found things doing that!

Very pretty..all dressed up for fall. And as always, symetrical, even to the chairs on either side. Love it. Sharon D.

Beautiful. I love transferware but have never owned any until recently. I found my first piece at Goodwill. It's just a small saucer from The Friendly Village pattern, with a picture of the Ice House. I bought it to add to my fall decor for $1.11. It's too bad the teacup was not with it but I will still enjoy it.

Warm, cozy look! Love the color of the tan/brown candles. And your new header is pretty also! So great to see a Blog post from you. Continuing to pray for your health and that of your loved one.
