Come & Eat, a review

Come & Eat: A Celebration of Love and Grace around the Everyday Table is an enjoyable read as well as being packed full of useful ideas.  Bri McKoy of the Our Savory Life blog, shares her story of how growing up with the table being an important part of her family life and how she came to realize it can be an essential part of ministering to others.

This book will be especially useful for people who have been called to minister to others through hospitality and the sharing of food.  I especially liked reading about how including a dinner together with their small groups brought everyone closer together.

The Chapters Include:
  1. A Lifetime of Tables
  2. A Place for us at the Table
  3. Brokenness at the Table
  4. Hospitality at the Table
  5. Peace at the Table
  6. Communion at the Table
  7. Meekness at the Table
  8. Story at the Table
  9. Questions at the Table
  10. Revolution at the Table
Appendix A: Your Kitchen: An Art Den
Appendix B: Resources for the Table
Appendix C: 21-Day Adventure at the Table
Appendix D: Handy Shopping List for the 21-Day Adventure at the Table

I highly recommend this book as a useful ministry tool as well as a good read.

Come & Eat was provided by the publisher for the sake of review but the opinions are my own.
