Back again...

The window over Stephanie's sink... pretty.

I had not intended to be away from blogging for two full weeks but a lot of living has gone into them.  I am exhausted and there is still more lawn and garden work to do.  But the work is fulfilling (when done a little at a time) for it results in good stuff come Summer.

In the midst of the outdoor work, my Tookish side came out.  You must understand, there is not much there to work with.  But when my daughter and son-in-law offered to gift us with a trip to New England to see them, I could not turn it down.  (Perhaps more ponderings about that on Sunday?)

The trip coincided with the May Brimfield flea market and antique show.  For years we would talk about going again.  We realized after I arrived that it had been ten years since we were there the last time.  Faith soon turns ten and Stephanie was expecting her at the time.

"Brimfield" is an experience in itself.  However, by going when we did, we were also there for Mother's Day and my oldest grandson's birthday celebration.  Our five days seemed to fly by as if it were twenty-four hours.

I will share some photos over the next few days.   Hopefully I can respond to e-mails today, too.

NOTE:  Isn't the above window pretty?  The photo doesn't do it justice.  I love the way Stephanie decorates.  Although she does have a BA degree in Interior Design... I think she has always had a talent for making things beautiful.  All five days I would go around her house, telling her how I love it.

I do like the window. It has a much prettier view than mine, but Stephanie and I were thinking similarly. I have a white, lace-edged dresser scarf here.

So glad that you had time away! I know that you have a full blog fodder tank now! Eager to hear more about your travels and the events you enjoyed from birthdays to flea markets.

Don't go crazy in the yard now. Everything seems to grow like crazy when the gardener goes on holiday.

I notice she likes things "symmetrical" as you do. Very pretty. I'm so glad you got to make the trip and be with your family and have time with the "grands". Know you made many wonderful memories.
Work is always there but "grand" time is short as they grow up so fast. Looking forward to seeing pictures. Blessings, Sharon D.

What joy that you are back......And more "back" than I realized! What a great deal you have done in two weeks. It seems the time was just right for so many important things to happen!

And I do love that window. It has a quality that starts a song in my heart!

I'm so happy you had such a great trip! I have that very same valance as Stephanie though I don't have it hanging right now. I love her window ledge.

I'd love to go to that kind of antique show sometime. What fun!

Bit by bit your garden and yard work will get done, and you'll be eating the fruits of your labor!

Welcome Back! You were missed, but what a Blessing to make the trip to seek your daughter and her family! Sounds like your time there was filled to the brim with celebrations and activities! What Fun! Can't wait to hear more about and see more photos! Don't overdo it in the garden. Remember, little by little, it gets done! That's what I've been doing (sort of). I still feel it the next day, however! Take care!
Hugs and Blessings,

So glad God gave you some family time!

What a delight to have spent precious time with your faraway family! I will do my best not to be envious over your visit to Brimfield, but I do hope you'll share a few pictures and your experience there. :)

Oh, how exciting! A trip to New England to see the family! Yes, please share photos. I do miss posts on her blog, but realize she is a very busy lady.
My first thought about Brimfield, Cheri said also.
Enjoy the slow time spent in your garden.
