My World this Week... kinda

There is a lot going on in my life with sick relatives and the return of heat and humidity causing moi' to be "under the weather".

So I will share quickly and without headers what has been going on in my world, actually in the past few weeks.  Think of it as a catch up post on the run.

Was reading...
Was re-reading
The trendy "beauty I am eating" photo.
Why my moss rose is all gone!
Victoria after we unpacked, "Do not ever go away again".
Missing... sigh.  The people and the place.

Did it seem to you that we went from the beauty of summer to summer's end overnight?  I'm not talking about the weather as it is hotter now than it was in July!  The feeling of summer.  The look of summer.  It is just gone from where I live.

The garden is in a terrible state as what is there is going to seed.  There are a few leaves turning here and there.  The squirrels are quite squirrely (as proven in the photo of the moss rose above).

In my part of the world, we are now in that in-between state where it is no longer true summer but not yet true autumn.  But I hear the pumpkin spice latte is returning sooner this year.  That is a very good thing.

Hope everyone in your family gets well soon.
Summer goes so fast, doesn't it.

Yay for the pumpkin spice latte!

Hope you're feeling better soon! Stay out of that heat and humidity...and maybe someone will bring you a pumpkin spice latte. :)

Yes, summer is dwindling, despite the hotter temps...

I hope things are soon better for you and your loved ones. The look on Miss Victoria is so cute. Her feathers look a bit ruffled. Ha!

Hope you will post the recipe for whatever you were eating. It looks delicious! Yes, the season is changing here in East Texas. August is almost gone and it will be Christmas before we know it. How times flies! Blessings, Sharon D.

Hmmmmmmmm. We do have squirrels. I have not seen them eating the moss roses, but something certainly has...Sad, because they are so cheerful and just happy to look at. we are having more heat and storms after a brief cool spell...I will try to enjoy every day, but sometimes it is a challenge. But still, I will try. I know it is what we should do. Everyday is a blessing......

yes...here in northern MN, it is "almost" fall like. It's been a dreary, foggy, rainy, week (living next to Lake Superior will bring that kind of weather)! Your trendy "what I'm eating" photo salad looked delish! And Princess V looked quite stunning as always. May health improve in your family...God's Blessings, Lynne

this was a very charming group of photos. I love the very first one, with the light dappling on the table. (morning or evening light?) and who couldn't love miss victoria, making her statement on a suitcase?! so funny. and yes, this is kinda an unbecoming time of year, I think. The gardens are tired and bedraggled, as am I. I am ready for a change, a revival that cooler air always brings. too soon for that pumpkin spice latte though. thank you for this post...it made me smile!

It is warm here, at the moment with some humidity but overall we have been mild. Things are changing toward Autumn for sure and early.

As always, your blog has such beautiful, homey scenes and pleasant words. I'm not a cat person, but I did enjoy the photo of your cat telling you to never go away again! With all the frightening news flooding us these days, your blog is a little refuge, if only for a few minutes.

We are loving our summer weather at our house. We have a drought so are watering very sparsely; I think our vegetables would like more water. Rain would be blissful.

Laughing at Victoria! She does have a way of communicating. It does feel odd right now. We're finishing up a cool stretch and coming into heat and humidity just in time for the kids to return to the classrooms with no AC. I do not envy them or their teachers. That squirrel needs a kick in the keister.

I love the sewing machine "shadow" photo. I think it has the look of fall. As far as the squirrel eating your moss rose, I was told they have to eat too! (smile) Ummm, not my flowers! Hope everyone gets well soon! Pam (SD)

Miss Victoria is as cute as ever.

Sorry you're not feeling well! Hope it cools down and you get to feeling better soon.

It's so hot here - a humid hot heat with afternoon thunderstorms that do nothing but make it more humid!
