Checking in with photos... My World this Week ;)

This is the "cottage" where we stayed, all eleven of us!
I'm still on a computer break but I had to share some photos from my week in South Haven, Michigan.  Which was a birthday gift from my children (especially my daughter and son-in-law).  I still can't believe how fast it went!

They create art with foam at our favorite coffeeshop.
Yes, some of you figured out who my all time BFF was in the My World this Week post.  I mentioned her along with the photo of that amazing latte.... my daughter!  Her family arrived from New England late Wednesday night and stayed throughout Thursday.

Then on Friday, three vehicles left for Michigan at various times.  My daughter's family left very early for more beach time, Hubby and I left around noon-ish, and Mr. & Mrs. Christopher were finally able to get away in late afternoon.

I will write and share more photos from my "birthday trip" when I officially return from the self imposed computer hiatus.  Although I am checking in now and then but briefly.  I still need more time to ponder the old fashioned way.

A three hour or so girl's outing to Saugatuck with my granddaughter, daughter, and daughter-in-law.  Saugatuck was a favorite Saturday morning destination when we lived in Holland.

A small part of the marina at South Haven.
You can just see the lighthouse where Lake Michigan begins.
Taken with a zoom lens, this old fashioned ship passed the lighthouse into Lake Michigan.
South Haven is one of the towns where the Gus Macker tournament is played each year.  It was the weekend we were there and the town was packed with participants and their families.   Not so lovely view of the end of the registration line but a gorgeous view of the "Big Lake".
Anna awaiting the fire to be hot enough for making s'mores.  I hadn't made s'mores in decades and it was a lot of fun.
More photos later!

All of the above photos were taken in South Haven, Michigan with the exception of the "girls out" photo from Saugatuck.

Anna's not a baby anymore? That is shocking! What a cutie she is and the photo of the three lovely gals at the restaurant is wonderful. Now I was looking at that line and thought how beautiful and colorful all those people looked. = D

Glad that you had a wonderful time and sorry that the time went by so quickly. Sigh. It always does.

Ahhhhhhh. Good for you, Brenda. Gary and I have stayed in a B&B there a few times and returned a couple of other times just to "be". What a great time to gather with family to celebrate your birthday. I look forward to your return, Lord willing, to blogland.

What a wonderful family! I am so glad you all were able to be together! Today I helped Emily and her family move back to Bath and I am so happy we are all close together now!

And it was great to hear from you, Brenda! I've missed you. I'll have to look up South Haven on a map now.
