Moving slowly...

This is the first year I planted moss rose in flowerpots and I quite like them.
The good news is my main kitchen cabinet used for food as well as the vintage yellow pantry are all nicely organized and much more user friendly (as in things not falling on me when I remove something).

The bad news is I strained that pesky back muscle while doing it!  It is one of those muscles that decide to seize up when doing the most plebeian of household duties, usually when pulling laundry from the dryer.  I think it is nature's way of telling me it is time to hire a maid... and a gardener.  Nice try, ain't going to happen.  ;)

However, I am on the mend albeit moving slowly.  Whenever this muscle seizing occurs, I have renewed admiration for people who live with chronic pain and remain pleasant.  Ouch...

I do plan a My World this week, even if it may be abbreviated... and to review a book as soon as it is finished... and weekend posts if the pain leaves and my brain starts working again.  Which hopefully is tomorrow.

Hope you feel better soon! I can certainly relate, as I have been battling a disc issue in my neck for about 6 months now. I am finally on the mend, but I felt like I really had a setback earlier this week. I have 5 fully-loaded cherry trees, and to pick them, my neck ends up in an "up" position. Then to pit them, my neck is "down." Locking my neck up like that for so long really had me seized up a couple days ago. Thankfully, a trip to my chiropractor and some lavender essential oil has me back on track.

This aging process is not for the faint of heart, is it?

I do hope you will be up to snuff in no time at all.

Blessings,
Patti

Ouch. Hope you feel better soon. Vacuuming is something my back screams about. Now a maid and gardener sound like a real good idea!

I hope your back heals quickly. The moss roses are so pretty, it has been years since I have planted some.

Be well, Brenda! Peace be with you. I think it is very difficult to deal with pain and restraints, but turn your mind to beauty. So glad you've gotten some shelves redone. That's what I need, and my son will have to take down the things from on high so I don't have to be up and down a ladder.....

Ouch! Don't you hate it when things like that happen. Are you putting an ice pack on it when possible?

I suffer chronic pain, but I also have one of thse muscles such as yours that pains me even more from time to time. I too potted some rose moss. Its was a favorite of my grandmother's and always put me in mind of her. Blessings friend, hope you are feeling better very soon.

Hope you feel better soon! Isn't it annoying when it happens when you're not even doing something exciting!

Oh that's awful. (Today I had to empty the dehumidifier drawer and I thought about it for a bit. Last time, I pulled a muscle...something about bending and twisting doesn't work for me. ) What do you do for relief? Praying for you to sleep well and feel lots better. Love the moss rose (aka portulaca?) in the pot. Looks English to me.
