The Grandcat

Sebastian

I finally was able to get out of the house yesterday!  I picked up my friend, Linda, and we went all out... breakfast at McDonald's, perusing magazines at Barnes & Noble, and a stop at the Goodwill close to where she lives before taking her back home.

I then stopped at the antique mall to see if there were any good bargains and found one which I will show next week.  Then onto Aldi's for a Saturday post I'm working on before heading to two other grocery stores for pasta and an item Hubby wanted me to research.

I arrived home just in time to collapse on the sofa and rest before heading out to Mr. and Mrs. Christopher's townhouse for dinner.  While the meal and the human company was wonderful, I really wanted to see our Grandkitty.

My hostess gift was two cans of Fancy Feast and Mr. Sebastian ate it up... literally.  Well, Mrs. C. only allowed one can for his dindin.  Even though he is well over a year old now, he still has a lot of kitten in him.  Really cute!

Miss Victoria was not amused when we arrived home.  I stretched out on the sofa to watch the Olympics and part of an episode of Last of the Summer Wine (drifting off to sleep half way through) and she curled up on my legs almost the entire time.

Can we say clingy kitty?  She knew there had been another feline in my life that evening.  ;)

What a fun day!

I like cats, but let me tell you about a lady that Emma and I met last night. She is a seamstress and is doing some work on two dresses for Em. So we go there and there are like at least 9 indoor cats and she feeds some that are outdoor cats! Oh my. Her house had an odor - not litterbox smell, but whatever it is that makes some elderly peoples houses smell. You know what I mean? She was very nice and kind. But she was a crazy cat lady for sure!

Deanna cracks me up! I'd love to know what that aroma is and if it has arrived at my place yet.

Your grandkitty is so cute. I had an encounter with my grandbeagle today that wasn't quite as pleasant. Oh dear. I would love it if guests brought hostess gifts of Fancy Feast. That stuff is expensive.

Nice you had "dinner out" and a fun kitty to visit too...even if Ms. Victoria got a bit miffed. We are snowed and iced in...in NC!!

That kitty is adorable! I'm sure he loved the gift you brought for him. :) :)

I know exactly the smell Deanna is talking about.. it's kind of a wild animal smell. Not something you really want in the house but I don't think people notice it in their own homes. You know how it is!

It's funny how our pets react when they think we have been "unfaithful" to them, isn't it?

This sure has been a tough winter! In addition to the snow /rain/snow we've had today, we're expecting a coastal flood which means we have to move our cars to higher ground. Not fun in the wind and pelting precipitation. This too shall pass. Stay warm there, Brenda. 37 days until spring...

Hi Brenda;
Wow, what a day! That would have worn me out for sure. I am glad you had such a fun day, you have more energy than I do! Your grandcat Sebastien is adorable! Poor Miss Victoria, she needs some extra tlc. Have a great week ahead! Love and Hugs, Nana

Isn't it wonderful that Christopher and his wife live so close that you can see one another often! And I know that kitty enjoyed his gift...I'm looking forward to reading about the other things you did that day.

Happy Valentine's Day! Have really enjoyed your last three posts. Just haven't had a chance to comment until now. Sunday's was well written and really gave me something to ponder over. My Mom was very talented and did numerous different kinds of handiwork. I've always felt lacking in talent in comparison. However, I do enjoy scrapbooking and embroidery, so I guess I'm not hopeless!
Thank-you for sharing photos of your teacups on your bookshelf. What Fun to change and rearrange pretty collections! I'm so glad you had a chance to go out with a friend just for fun. It must have felt like a breath of fresh air to get out after being housebound in all the snow. Loved seeing your "grand kitty" too! How sweet that your brought him a special treat! :)
Hope you got some special treats of your own today.
Blessings,
Laura C. From WA
