Autumn so far...

We had our first hard frost last night so I'm very happy much was accomplished... a little at a time.

Even in a not-so-good color year, autumn is wonderful when you live next to a forest.

Happy Autumn wherever you may live!

Your pictures are lovely -- looks like fall in New England where I lived for 50 years. Now we're in Lake Havasu, AZ, and it's going to be 90 today! I miss the fall color but not the cold.

Hi Brenda, I checked in on your blog today, hoping you were back. Glad to hear the surgery went well. Take it easy.

Beautiful photos!! Thanks So much for sharing! We've had a light frost or two, but not a heavy one, as yet. I still have carrots in the ground. Need to get those in, as the deer have been eating off the tops! Still have a few tomatoes slowly ripening on the vines, too! At least the deer leave those alone! Take care.
Blessings to you,
Laura C. From WA

The red barn is coming back into view! I have noticed the same of the white barns on the upper road. Yes, autumn is lovely there. I am surprised that our first frost was night before last and yours just last night. A one-day separation.

Hope that you are feeling and doing well...

We haven't had a frost yet. Your color though not great is still very pretty. Those bits of red, and the neighbors red barn, are so pretty.

I always feel as if we need to fill our hearts with the warmth of all this autumnal glory of red, gold, bronze and everything in between...Because colder times are coming. But those days have their own glory. We may have our first frost tonight. And I live between you and Vee......
