I'm already adding an update to my garden section of the scrapbook journal! |
I've wanted to upload some pictures and download some ponderings but Hubby and I have been vying for computer time! For the last few days, when the computer was free... I was on the sofa for the evening due to antibiotics... but it all works out eventually and I will get photos uploaded hopefully today.
I don't know about you but antibiotics tend to make me a little queasy, even when I take them with food.
I had an excellent post-op appointment with the retinal specialist yesterday. Yes, he waits for about two months to check the progress of the surgery. My left eye showed no increase in damage so the second surgery worked as planned. The right eye still shows a tiny bit of damage but not enough to do anything about it right now. He will check it again in three months.
It is always a good day when the medical news is welcome!
This summer has been the exact opposite of last year. We've had a few hot days but mostly wet and cooler than usual. So for all my Western friends... this is where the cooler temperatures went!
Except I can't say my garden likes this weather all that much better than last year. Nothing has died except those plants that likes Spring better... the arugula plants (although those grown from seed are okay) and the lettuce is being cut back completely this week. But everything could use some nice sunshine!
Now I need to update the garden journal and write what has worked so far this year... and what has not. :)

Yay for a good report from the specialist. Always good, good news. Your garden journal is so neat. Mine is so not. Ha!
Yes, we must be in the same weather pattern because I've been saying the same thing. Enough water, time for sun!
Our garden is not liking the cooler, wet weather either!
So sad!
I'm glad your feeling better and what a great report from the eye specialist! Hurray!
Around here we pass the laptops around. During the school year I have to share with the kids when they need to do their math!
Happy 4th!

I'm on my 2004 lap top. It works well for writing and also for visiting you.
Your medical report is good news indeed.
There are many deer and Lyme disease ticks here. Since you asked . . . whenever we've been on anti-biotics we take good bacteria. These pills are kept in the refrigerator. We continue for sometime after the anit-biotics are completed. An Amish health food store sells these pills near us. This good bacteria keeps your whole digestive track healthy.
Keep well,
Karen A.
Wonderful news about your eyes! Love your photo of your scrapbook journal! Thanks so much for sharing! It's fun to see what you do with it. I have one I made just for my garden and another for musings, etc. Hope you enjoyed your 4th celebrations. We hosted a big family BBQ too! Lots of good food, fun, fellowship, and fireworks!
God Bless!
