Alive and well...

I really didn't intend to drop off the face of the earth!  It's just a mixture of eye surgery on Friday (which made it difficult to look at a computer screen for days), Easter preps Saturday, Easter on Sunday, recovering on Monday... well, you see my mind has been elsewhere.

I'd planned to write for this blog and Mom Heart all afternoon but Christopher called on my way to the grocery store (how does he know these things?) to tell me he didn't have the car today and he'd buy lunch if I could pick him up.  He's still not able to walk very far.

As I've said before, I drop my To Do list when I can spend time with people I love.

We ended up going to our favorite Mediterranean restaurant right on campus.  Over a lunch of hummus, flat bread, Israeli salad, and fattoush... we caught up on life.  I was so stuffed with healthy food that I took half the fattoush salad home to hubby.

It was this very restaurant a few years ago that brought about our summer of making hummus and Israeli salad at home at least a couple times a week.  I can make decent hummus but nothing like we get at the restaurant... yum.

He is on pain meds and a muscle relaxant after tearing a muscle on the day we had that big snowstorm.   It was a rather freak accident and the doctor is hoping he won't have to have surgery, all prayer is appreciated.  He's trying to not move much, which is not always possible when you have a full time job and are active in your church.

We had a lovely time with he and the Mrs on Easter.  We had a chance to chat while finishing dinner preps and talked a little more after dinner but his dad and I encouraged them to leave early so he could have plenty of sofa time before work on Monday.

As for me, my eye surgery went well even though it took twice as long for the actual surgery as the first time.  We won't know how much it worked for a few months.  Glad to have it over...

I'm praying for Christopher. It's important for him to follow the doctor's orders and rest. Everything else can wait. Now his most important work is healing. It can impact the rest of his life....

Glad you had a nice lunch and catch-up time together!

Oh how miserable for him. Will pray that youth and rest and the healing wok of God will put him back together. I love how you both make time for your relationship.

And I know that The Lord is at work with your eye and eyesight as well. It is always good to have such things behind us.

Praying for Christopher! And you of course!

So good to hear from you.

I am reading "Agony of the Leaves" by Laura Childs right now! Love these books!

Rest well. Trusting the results to Him!

You inspire me. I really need to get back into blogging. And I can add pics now that I have an ipad! I tried blogger and just hate it. I love the way my site looks but composing there is awful! I still have my ooooold blog at xanga, but noone is at xanga anymore but I still love that one and find it easy to work with. Would it be too weird to just stay there?

I love the pic of Victoia and "her" sunbeam! Precious.

Your blog in my inbox is something i look forward to everyday. Thank you for blessing my life!

I'm just reading about your eye surgery. I hope by now (almost 10 days later) that you're feeling well and back to normal. Sorry that I didn't know to pray.
