My World this Week

I've been under the weather the last few days but I was still able to take a few pictures.

Here is what is going on in my world...

Reading

Listening

I was asked what old hymns I was listening to... these.  :)

I love the way Indelible Grace takes the words to very, very old hymns and brings them to life on my modern itty bitty iPod.

Tweaking

An Easter-spring display.  I don't have a lot of actual Easter pretties these days.

Free fun

I found the printout for the Easter link on Manuela's blog... here.

I found the above print out while reading about Downton Abbey parties.

I don't remember what blog the link was on that sent me to it, but you can find the printout... here.

Thrifting

This beautiful Friendly Village coffee pot was on a shelf in my favorite antique mall.  I was just perusing the place while out for some "me" time one day.  It was just a few dollars!

The lid has a chip and a small crack which makes it worth nearly nothing at the antique shop but works just fine as a display on my shelves.  It can actually be used if one holds the lid carefully when pouring.

Relaxing

I was sitting in the chair across from the sofa, reading a book and listening to a concert on PBS... when I noticed Her Fluffiness sound asleep and fully content.

Thankfully, I could quietly grab the camera and snap this picture before she could wake up.  Although she was so sound, she didn't notice me!

Thanks so much for all! I love your blog and miss it when you can't post. Just made your salmon patties again--best recipe for it I've found.

A very pleasant time spent here with you and earlier on your tea corner of Pinterest. Wow. That was a total take me away folder. Enjoyed listening to a few sample selections...lovely and the photo of the reclined ones is sweet. Until now, I've never seen the coffee pot for Friendly Village. It's lovely! Goodness, this post was packed full of delights. Anyway, hope that you are feeling a lot better very soon.

Ah, what title is the Laura Childs book? I love her tea shop mysteries! I've read all of them I think, but is this a new one?

Great Friendly Village find! Such a treat to find these pieces affordably!

Beautiful Victoria!

I just remembered that I wanted to mention how lovely the photo of your daughter in law was and was shocked to realize that this was from March 5th and it's now the 14th and I haven't done it yet. She looks very charming and fun. And I love your world now, at the tail end (we hope) of winter. Love the pictures today, the tea print, the beautiful tea or coffee pot, the jug with the yellow swirl and the thistle on it. And the great picture of Miss Victoria "resting" while your husband reads.

I love the coffee pot! I still have not found any Friendly Village while thrifting but am glad I got such a good start on my collection from the Craigslist purchase last year.

Oh my goodness! She looks sooo comfortable!!

Sorry you're not feeling well and I hope you feel better soon.

Your printables look great! Isn't it nice that you can just print these things and not leave your house and have something new to decorate with. The Friendly Village pot is gorgeous!

Hope you are feeling better today. (Friday) Thanks so much for sharing your world, and your life, with us all. Your posts are always inspirational. How fun to find such a great deal on the Friendly Village coffe pot! And at an antique store, too! Love the photo of Miss Victoria all stretched out on hubby's lap! Wish my dear old kitty would do that, but she is not a lap cat. She likes to position herself on top of the couch Next to me. LOL!
Alas! I found you on Pinterest! Absolutely Love all your beautiful categories! Hope you don't mind me re-pinning so many of yours! I got carried away! Just couldn't help myself!
Many Blessings to you. Spring is just around the corner!
