My World this Week

My canisters in their new location...

Late January has been a season of extremes with frigid low wind chills and now highs in the 60s.  They have arrived with heavy fog and drizzle... I think I'd prefer the cold and sunshine!  We are to drop back into subnormal temperatures again within days.

Once the necessary gotta do's of the day have been accomplished, there has been lots of reading with hot beverages at my side.

Reading
Loving each and every one of these... actual reviews later.

Watching
PBS is showing this again...

Tea Time
A sinus headache tea time...

Baking
Our van broke down when we were suppose to have an afternoon out... so I baked a pie.

Kitchen Art

Victoria
Her favorite chair once again...
I took this picture of Victoria yesterday, she had been sitting on her chair looking out the window and then as she turned around and looked at me, she looked so contented... before something caught her attention!

Victoria is a very smart kitty! I love how she's using that rocking chair! Your home looks lovely and inviting. And it appears we are reading some of the same books! Enjoy the tea --- I used up my box of Candy Cane Lane Tea and was only able to find it once during the holidays --- so wasn't able to get more. It will be a long wait until next December.

Hope you feel better. I love Tamar Adler's book, Everlasting Meal. I never knew a "cook book" could be a favorite read. I request it from the library often. :)

Victoria is sooooo special. :-) I wish our PBS would show Lark Rise again. That series is exceptional isn't it. Your home looks so warm and inviting. Sarah

I read Tamar Adler's book this summer, along with Call the Midwife. Both were fantastic.

Victoria looks so happy to have "her" chair!

You have such a cozy home! I may have to get my little rocker out for my kitty although at 19 years she may not be interested!
Your pie looks wonderful- my greatest weakness :o)
To people looking for Candy Cane Lane Tea - I did not find it at any grocery store in my area this year but Walmart had a huge supply. They actually sold me a case! Good to remember for next year :o) Dee

Your world is so cozy and inviting.

I just love rearranging and "tweaking" our little home; we must share that passion. It's amazing how much you can accomplish just by moving a piece of furniture or rearranging a wall display.

Thank you for sharing!

Victoria is so cute!I just think it's the funniest thing that she sits in that chair!!

I enjoyed Everlasting Meal. Your pie looks so yummy! We're having stormy weather today so it's a good day to do a bit of baking.

I love Lark Rise! I'm watching Absolutely Fabulous. Amazon has it streaming and it's free for Prime members. They gave me 1 month of Prime for free when they shipped me my replacement Kindle. So I'm taking advantage of it!

What a fun picture. Victoria in the rocking chair is so cute. Your picnic basket collection looks great. Love the way they are all similar yet different. I have a picnic basket very similar to the one at the bottom of your stack. Mine had a tag "Redman" on the inside. I'm curious if yours is the Redman brand also.
