Staying dry and cozy

These two little ladies keep me company in My Room.

We've had the remnants of Tropical Storm Norman over us for the past few days, making for cool and wet fall days!   I think the center must be over Chicago... sigh.

So, while I stay warm and dry... here are more cozy scenes from my home taken October 1st.  I'll share some more tomorrow.

A simple addition of wheat is so pretty.
I have reused these for years now, love the mini pumpkins!
I got this idea from Manuela.  :)
Only two pumpkins for fall but I like the simple look.
I added the thermoses and the pumpkin for fall.
I can't remember if I shared about finding a big bag of yarn at Goodwill.  It was full of a few skeins but lots of the balls, part of which went into the bowl I showed yesterday...

and the rest in the basket below.

I really wanted a taller basket for the skeins of yarn that came with the yarn balls... and look what I found at Goodwill for only a couple dollars!  I love how God provides.  :)

I have a friend that uses a wine basket for her many skeins of yarn. It looks real cute.

That is a great basket! Is there anything more charming and cozy than a basket full of balls of yarn? I just hope that Victoria doesn't take a liking to them. That bit of bittersweet in the Friendly Village tea cup...oh sweetness. Now I will copy you copying Manuela. ☺

Brenda,

Thanks to one of your posts a few weeks back, I decided to borrow a library book on Tasha Tudor - I picked it up yesterday and it is such a delight to browse. Her glorious garden has me longing for a plot of land (just a balcony of pots here) and the colour of all those shiny, well-worn, copper pots in the kitchen just feel like Fall...stainless steel is no match!

A true eccentric - a fascinating life. Thanks for the introduction.

Love your cozy touches...

Love the fall touches. Fall is such a beautiful time of year with the rustic colors and the "feeling of fall" in the morning. The tall basket is perfect. I love it when God blesses us with the little things as well as the many BIG blessings.
Blessings, Sharon D.

I love how GOD provides too!! HE is giving us a wonderful vacation barn apt (more fancy than any house I have ever lived in) for the next 5 months of our sojourn which starts about the end of this month!! Not far from Jamestown, etc. in Virginia!! On part of 280 acres. I would not have asked for this...but am gratefully accepting HIS provision for us!!
