Prayer for Colorado!

Would you please join me in prayer right now for the fires in Colorado.

I've been following what is going on with Sally Clarkson's Facebook status updates.

I knew the fire was close to Colorado Springs, Sally had posted a picture of the fire taken from their house a couple days ago!

The above picture my friends, is taken at the Air Force Academy.  She posted it in the wee hours of this morning (Wednesday).

(Note:  We are also under a high fire danger with temps reaching 100 degrees and drought conditions. )

Ohhhh...it's scary. I have been praying since seeing it on the news this morning. How I wish I could send the rain, but we do know the One Who can.

I am praying that God will send a huge rain to them and put the fires out! It is amazing the power and force of fire...praying for calm hearts, safety for all and peace, too.

I live in Colorado. The county in which I live(Larimer)has had fires burning for 2 1/2 weeks and 273 homes, as well as many barns, and outbuildings have been destroyed. A 62 year old woman died at one mountain ranch.

Many homes burned, last night, in Colorado Springs, and the fire is still raging, close to the Air Force Academy. Another fire is burning in Boulder County. It is very scarey and so many people are suffering, and homeless now.

The smoke has been terrible and is causing health issues for many. It is the worst year for fires in Colorado's recorded history.

Prayer is definitely needed, and appreciated.

A women's monastery, Protection of the Holy Virgin, in Lake George was evacuated about a week ago. I cannot find any further news though on it. Yes, prayers!
