The Making of a Memory

"If one were sitting nearby, looking upon the celebration... they would guess it to be a family including a grandfather, grandmother, grown children, and grandchildren.

The conversation was that of a family often separated by great distance, catching up on important family news, laughing over shared jokes and memories, the anticipation of the approaching wedding day enhancing the conversation, and the joy of once again being together..."

I'm over at the Mom Heart blog today... here.  :)

Sweet post. My son was married on mothers day weekend, my mothering law fell I'll the week after they returns home from the festivities so we drove 550mi to help, came home in time for youngest sons high school graduation. It's amazing how long it takes to recuperate isn't it. I am so glad that I am learning to savor the moments and let go of perfect. Perfect robs me of the joys in unexpected places. It's all grace.....

Those precious times that we spontaneously seize with the intention of making memories with those whom we love are forever treasured and shape our hearts to receive joy in the unexpected (as Anna said.)

Your post reminded me of those moments grasped with my own children.
