I was talking to Stephanie last night (or was it the night before... my days are running together). We have decided we will hear the angels sing at the reception, we're just hoping it is not because we both collapsed at the end of it. :)
Actually, all the baking is a labor of love and we are all going to enjoy the way it turns out... and there will be pictures!
It's the wedding preparations with the veggie gardening with the lawn work (especially with company on the way) with getting Christopher moved with both cars being in the shop with laundry and meals and... well, you understand.
The big events happen in the midst of all the other gotta do's of living. My mother once told me if she waited until she could afford or had time for a baby... none of her children would have been born. :)
We live our lives in the midst of the everyday-ness of life... finding ourselves in the midst of the little kid years and suddenly we wake up one day and realize we have become parents of teenager! Then just overnight the kids are grown and starting their own families.
Life happens while we are planning the events of our lives.
Tomorrow I must bake another batch of cookies for the freezer and more cupcakes and plant the pole beans in the raised bed garden and flowers in containers for the deck. Opportunities to write will continue to be spur of the moment and not planned at all.
In the meantime, I hope you are enjoying the wonderful writers at the Mom Heart blog... here. I consider it such an honor to be among them. This month the theme is about... Legacy.

So true. I guess I should quit looking for that perfect balance of time and money and energy and good attitudes and realize that my work will always take place in the midst of less-than-ideal circumstances, and that's okay. Hang in there!
I'm sure everything will turn out beautifully. Try to get some rest when you can.
A true wedding is always Narnia magic. It's because of all the love involved-both the couple's and their families.
You and Stephanie are giving Christopher and Miss M a gift that will never be forgotten! It's going to be wonderful - I'm certain the angels will sing.

Yes, everything seems to be needing to be done at once! I feel like my veggie garden is taking so much work this year -- I'm trying square foot and so I have to weed and check all the time to see what is next. And a bunny is eating the tops off most of my beets. :(
I hope your work goes well today and you get a few chances to sit down and breathe......
Oh that comment about angels singing made me laugh. I do hope that you are finding a way to pace yourself and to ask for help. Church ladies love to help! They do. They just need to know how.
All this just leads me once again to wonder: why do things never come easy? Just once?
