All that baking...

Twin tables were set up to make serving easier
The freezer was full but Stephanie and I still had some mega baking sessions.

Pre-wedding prepping

Food waiting to be placed on displays
She is now an experienced cake pop and cupcake decorator, too.  The cupcakes were so beautiful, some people didn't think they were real!

If we knew it was going to be a near record breaking heat wave, we would have put together more of the above tea sandwiches I made and less of the hot sandwiches Stephanie had made (although they were SO delicious).

Cupcakes in their travel box

Mini cupcakes and mini pecan "pies"

Cupcakes on display

Cakepops on display
The lighting was not good but I'm hoping you can get an idea how pretty it all looked.

We didn't make the small wedding cake but I knew you would love to see a picture of it.

Know you are ready for a good rest.
So glad you are back--I've missed you.

Oh so pretty...hope your daughter keeps a little photo album of those photos...in case she ever wants to go into a side business catering such for others!! Thanks for sharing. A cake with real flowers is indeed beautiful too.

All the work you and Stephanie did...I hope your son AND his wife will forever appreciate the efforts!! I know you had fun doing it too. I did a huge spread, with help from a couple friends, and decorated etc. a big banquet for my son and his wife for the rehearsal dinner. (Might have been as cheap to take them out...ha...and certainly would have been easier!!) The good part is I did not need to cook much the rest of the weekend with extra relatives and guests on hand to be fed!! I hope you had some left overs as well!!
