Coughing and sniffling and sneezing

The aroma of Basil Scented Mrs. Meyers.... lovely.

I've started a Sunday Afternoon Tea post.  If my mind clears enough from all the sniffing and sneezing, it will appear tomorrow.

Thankfully, this is only a mild cold so I've been able to keep up with the essential housework like doing the dishes.  Otherwise, there is absolutely nothing that can't keep awhile.

Friday evening was quite pleasant with a D. E. Stevenson book (Shoulder the Sky), British comedies on "the telly", Candy Cane Lane tea in a little pot with the blue cozy, and a kitty curled up at the end of the sofa who refused to nudge whatsoever.

Victoria in a snit and hiding after being naughty... she has a new thing for getting in the trash.

I threatened her with the D.O.G. word, you know... "Man's best friend" and all that.  She didn't look at all concerned.  Her only confusion came when it was far past midnight and the mistress of the house was still reading.  Miss Victoria does not understand how one can sleep away the day and not be sleepy at bedtime.

Candy Cane Lane tea is the best!! I bought five boxes after Christmas so I could dole it out slowly over the course of the year. I don't know what I would do if they stopped making that and Sleepytime tea, my two herbal favorites. Hope you are completely well very soon. Take care, Hannah

Do you have a marble window sill above the sink? What a great idea. I've never seen one and I've not noticed yours before. It can't be new. I'm just not observant. I am told that Wal*Mart carries the Mrs. Meyers though mine doesn't.

Doing dishes is probably a good thing for a cold sufferer...warm water on the hands, moisture in the air, steam rising. No, I couldn't talk myself into believing it either.

See you tomorrow!

Sorry to hear you are under the weather. We've had tummy bug, colds, and strep go through our house the past three weeks. So far I've managed to avoid them all.

Here's to spring breezes coming soon to the Midwest! :-)

And here's to your school beating that icky school later this afternoon!

Isn't it funny how our pets stay close by us when we're sick? Almost like they are protecting us. When our cat does that we joke about our Nurse Cat.

I surely hope you are better tomorrow, nothing worse than a cold. What a lovely way to spend the day! Take care, D.

Slowly but surely you are getting better. D.E. Stevenson is a lovely author to read while somewhat under the weather! Have you read Bel Lamington? It's not a sequel to the Music in the Hills books but we get to see some of the characters again.

I'm off to make a big vegetarian pot pie for my son and myself.......Comfort food for days with too much grayness and snow, even though I sort of enjoy sitting and watching huge flakes fall down when I know I needn't go anywhere.

I love all types of tea - but mint is my favorite. I also like Mrs. Meyers mint cleaning soap. Have you tried it?
